Rallycross MR2

Post by omracing »

Business commitments force reluctant sale of my Toyota MR2 Mk1, this is one of only two racing in British Rallycross. This is the original MR2 built for Rallycross by Tony Bell and Toyota Motorsport (UK). I am currently running the car in the Revivals class and have also raced this car at Sprints, achieving 2nd at Silverstone.

The car comes with an MSA Logbook and could easily be converted into a circuit racer or track day car. Strong shell with fibreglass or kevlar body panels. Front space frame chassis with perspex windows, full roll cage and handheld fire extinguisher, lightweight race seat, Luke 5–point harnesses, front and rear strut braces.

Modified 1.6 16v head with twin 45 Dellorto carburettors producing 180 bhp, aluminium billet inlet manifold, tubular exhaust manifold, Cosworth L2 profile camshafts (made from TRD camshaft blanks) adjustable cam timing, Gp A value springs, lightened and balanced conrods, crackshaft & flywheel, running at 12.1 compression ratio.

Sachs competition clutch, Gp A TRD gearbox internals, TRD limited slip diff. Fully adjustable Leda suspension - cost £1,500. Revolution 15” alloys with Michelin or Colway tyres. The car is currently in Toyota Castrol colours, please note this is a race car and could do with a little tidying, hence the price. Grab yourself a bargain, £2800. Contact Scott (Kent) either by e-mail or a PM - [email protected]. If a good price is agreed, than a good spares package will be included. The car is currently stored near Duxford.

Good news. It looks like the car is going to Finland, do you believe it !!!! (I might have to have a holiday out there)
The guys name is Hakkinen, I wonder if he's related to Mika ??

Don't worry I'm not leaving the MR2 family, I still have my road MR2. \:D/
