[Mk2] [Turbo] what do people do to the cooling system

Hi there i am looking to be running over the 400bhp mark an was wondering what people did regards the engine cooling? because i have heard the stock water pumps create air bubles and i am considering upping the rev limit?

600 bhp+ mr2 run on stock cooling, because radiator is in the front, which create lots more water in system then most car, it is the boost cooling and oil you need to worry about, then water pump dont create air, just it is pain to get rip of all the airlock when u refill the coolant after drain

I think he's talking about the pump cavitating if he ups the redline and spins the pump too quickly.

I don't have a clue mate but I have run upto about 7800rpm and it blew the dip stick out the coolant temp was fine

Concentrate more on cooling the intake charge mate. The water cooling on an MR2 is excellent as it is.

No need to raise the rev limit to reach 400bhp + anyway

What mods you got planned?

I run 8500 revs,no trouble with dip stick. It had a coil spring holding it on but it fell off.
