Try craigsplates.com mate (I think that's the right address), they can make up anything.

In a word, yes.

There's a minimum size for the lettering, but you'd have to be very unlucky to get pulled for it. Craigsplates will sell the smaller ones "for show purposes only."

Probably worth hanging on to your existing plates for MOT time. :thumleft:

Sizes of number plates is a grey area but i know on a jap import that the smallest size plates you are allowed on a jap import is 14" x 4" with motorbike digits and spacing but thats only if you've got a six digit number on your car apart from that legally is has to be full size i'm afraid

I've always used fancyplates.com

Very good service, top quality plates and you can have ANY size you choose.

Legally the letters must be a certain font, height and width, there must be a certain space between the letters, and they must be layed out as on your V5, there must be a certain space betweens the letters and the edges of the plate. So technically you can have a shorter plate if you have fewer digits in your reg.

"Be proud of your import" and sport the rectangular plates that denote this. Imports are allowed motorcycle sized letters/numbers and spacings are 10mm apart whereas the english "thick" letters/numbers are spaced 12mm apart. There is nothing worse than a D.I.Y. slanted front plate and remember the import plate helps deflect stones heading for your radiator.

when i bought my car i mopped it with standard t cut and i use good old mer on bodywork, looking at investing in some auotglym polish though as when i was a valeter thats what i used so easy to rub off and apply, i wash it quite a lot aswell on wheels i use engine degreaser you buy in poundland looks like antifreeze very cheap and fantastic for cleaning exhaust aswell brings it up a treat, and of course you can also clean engine with it which i do now and then, i normally buy a few bottles of it at a time because its quite popular i think everyone has same idea thanks for the complement :thumleft: :thumleft: :thumleft:
