I know a little about this, you need a modded ps2 to start with and a program on your pc there was a 2 part how to do it on you tube this may help, But from memory I think you can only play the songs in expert so I hope your good
Mk1b White T-bar SC 1987, Mk1b White coupe Jan90, Mk1b White coupe Jan90 (spares), Mk1b Mica blue T-bar Mar90, Mk1b Mica blue T-bar,full climate control,Jan90, 5 mk1's :)

Yea I play on nothing BUT expert. Playing on hard I get 95%+ to be honest so it isn't much of a challenge lol

lol it's just practise. I mean i've played the drums for about 8 years so i've got fairly wicked timing just from that to be honest so I picked it up quickly. Great game though, I tried playing GTA4 and after a few hours I found myself chucking guitar hero back in, just so much more fun and once I get this custom song thing sorted I don't think it's possible to ever get bored of it!

It's not the timing that makes it hard on hard and expert.
It's translating all the info being thrown at you at warp factor 9 into finger movements lol ](*,)

I can just play it on hard but usually end up in the 80% range bar a few of the easier songs.

I would LOVE to be able to play anything I want on it. I wonder if in the future they will release a version that you can do it with?
Save CD's to the HDD then the console converts it to playable tracks?

I really shouldnt have written this, some boff will now claim it as their idea and make squillions.

Killswitch engage - my last serenade...... no more need to be said. I'll pay tons of cash just to play that on expert. I'm gonna get swap magic and one of those 3rd party guitars off eBay as I have an old PS2 kicking around.

ints NOT easy to do ur self there is ALOT more involved then just stickin a song in the game and then playing it... alot of the time custom songs go out of sync but there a fair few custom versions floating around on the net and also a forum/site where u can put ur reqests for songs for people to add to thier disks. if i can find the listings ill show u whats on my 2 custom disks but off the top of my head there are songs like
machine head - halo
machine head - asthetics of hate
HIM- buried alive by love
blood hound gang - chasey lain
the super mario tune (freaking hard!!!)
micheal jackson/van halen - beat it
ill nino - how could i live
papa roach = last resort
mudvayne - happy (awsome song)

but id love a disk just full of machine head lol
