Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
Just beware that manufacturers buy paint in batches, and every batch has a different shade. Hence why each paint colour has various sub-codes depending on OEM code, and date of manufacture. You really need to see a set of paint chips (like the Dulux colour charts you get at the mixing desk in BnQ) to establish the right colour. Loads of folk are happy with (or don't notice) a mis-match which is still close-enough, otherwise if the car's a few years old and weathered, even a different manufacturers paint codes can be a better match!
....and just to confirm, yes, Toyota use the same paint codes across the range of cars in production at that time. I can't remember the link but if you tap in "Toyota OEM paint codes" in yahoo it'll bring up a few comprehensive code sites as a reference (though not the sub-codes).
