I'd wager you'd change your tune pretty quickly if you were affected by this. I can't see any 'slagging' going on, just reasonably stated cases of fact.
Also, for it to be a 'match' the other party would need to be responding - as it stands this thread is a request for other affected parties to come forward.

I've stayed in the background so far, and in fact hadn't spotted this thread until Toni raised it to my attention (Thanks TG).

I'm one of the ones whose had their car at Daves - SINCE DEC 2006.

I've been as patient as possible, and wanted to trust and believe in Dave and his integrity. Unfortunately I've had no responses from Dave for the last few weeks so am losing faith.

JG - you have all my details anyway, just wanted to be sure I'd logged myself on this thread too. PM me anytime if you need anything else specifically - I've printed quite a long history to work from now.

I wish to pass on my sympathies to all all those affected with this disaster of a 'business'. I bought a rear bumper and 2 front lips from Neos and never really had a problem - seems like he looked upon some with favouritism and others with disregard.

I really thought things would eventually come good so staggered to hear the ill fate of one or more cars mentioned here, very sad and shocking to say the least.

I hope this gets resolved for everyone

It's all very very sad, I really liked Dave when I met him, and was prepared to be as patient as necessary as things went on. But I can't cope with the total lack of ability to get in contact, especially with all the evidence that is now stacking up against him.

I haven't got the foggiest where my car is.

Last I knew it was at Dave's original workshop where I first dropped it off. Last tiem i spoke to Dave he did say he was moving to a new facility, but didn't tell me where. No one else seems to know anything.

I have now logged myself in with the Darwen police, and have been promised a call back on Tuesday (the officer conducting the investigation is in court on Monday). Hopefully they know something about where Dave is, and therefore I can work out where my car is.

I have no idea what state she'll be in now.

I've also gotten so fed up that I can't now face owning an MR2 again. I'm buying an Elise 160 instead, and as and when I ever see my 2 again it'll be sold - hopefully as a drivable car and not just spares or repairs.

It's very sad, as I've loved my MR2 massively, and all my years involvement with the club. This experience though has totally ruined it. I'll not be able to look at an MR2 in the same way again.

Dave, if you do bother to read this forum, I hope some element of humanity might lurk somewhere inside, and that you feel some guilt for ruining what should have been a 2 month job to deliver my dream car, rather than a 15 month nightmare with no end in sight.

Same here mate.
I'm getting out of the MR2 world now ... Supra time for me.

Dave, you're a f***ing c**t, who doesn't have a shred of decency. You're a disgrace and a sorry excuse for man and a human being. And if you feel like telling me otherwise, you know how to get in contact with me.

Update on the pathetic excuse for a man

Post by Johnny G »

Right, Dave never turned up at the Police Station for questionning. Furthermore, he's scarpered without paying his solicitors bill.

The Police now have hs details circulated. If he gets pulled over for anything or is alerted to the Police for anything then he'll be taken in.

He's getting up the officers nose now, who described him as nothing more than "a weasel" and "scum" - and that's the Officer!

Can I ask you all to please be vigilant and look around any other forums you might be members of to see if someone new has popped up selling items.

Cheers.

Johnny just out of interest, how do you see things realistically ending up on this Dave Neo case?
If the vanished cars (heaven forbid) have been scrapped and Dave is penniless (as it would seem from recent thread input) I cannot see how those who are out of pocket can recoup their losses?
Surely he'd declare himself bankrupt if he's not done so already?

I'm not being cynical to your time spent investigating this fraudulent nasty piece of work, it's a credit to the imoc community. More interested in your idealistic outcome.

I agree it doesn't look good mate.

"People" like Dave Neo are just weasels who prey on decent folk. He's always going to surface, to con someone out of something. The nature of the work that he does means he will have to advertise in some form.

If he is penniless and declares bankrupt - well, he's breaking the law and I will make sure he's prosecuted to the fullest extent. Taking on work whilst insolvent is illegal.

The Police are also aware that he's ripped the Carlton boys off for £32k - so they are after him.

I won't let this rest and will go down whatever route necessary to find him, purely because I won't have a f**king belwhiff like him having one over on me.

I've left a few messages with Darwen police now as I can't seem to get through to the officer invesitaging this case. (Seems every time I call he's off duty or on another call). Had at least 2 promises of a call back and no joy yet.

Doesn't sound like anything would come of it now even I can eventually get to speak to the PC...

Simple fact is that unless I can locate the vehicle, I can't collect it. On top of that it'll need to be collected along with anything Dave has taken off. Even if the car is a write-off, I can at least sell on the parts, or consider the costs to restore it depending on the damage level.

At the moment though it looks like I'll have to write off a car that was potentially worth up to 7-8k.

As I mentioned before, he's ruined my love of the MR2 totally. I'm looking at an Elise tomorrow as I just can't face another summer without a decent car to enjoy, and now I just need to have a change.

Was yours that white Air Walker kitted car you got from Julian? :o

If I were losing a car worth that cash (!) I'd have got up to his old workshop and found out the landlord - he may just clear stuff out or claim it!!

If the worst case happens and you have to claim theft, and you don't have an agreed value policy, then you should find ads on the usual sites which show the cost / potential of cars like yours, including pics of yours etc to try and get nearer to what it was really worth... not book value!

Agreed - there's lots of people who'll vouch for the condition of your car.

You must report it stolen chap - then it'll show on a check if anyone else has it and tries to sell it on or scrap it.

Our time will come - trust me. I'm not letting him away with ruining my car.

I hope he dies of bad bad AIDS

Yes - mine is the white Airwalker supplied by Julian.

rare, excellent condition and maintained by Rogue uptil it went to Dave...
...and seemingly lost for now.

I did have an agreed value policy, but like I say it has expired since no MOT = declared SORN = No insurance renewal possible thanks to Dave having it for so long.

Will keep trying police and hope I can get through.
