I think the thing is Matt then, its because of microsoft themselves. They are not the most popular company to have entered the console format and maybe never will be. I would imagine most people would assume Xbox owners are seen as PC owners so therefore fanboys i guess.

Errr the games make the console. No point buying something that lasts forever if you dont use it. And i dont think the discussion is regarding which console lasts longer.
The 360 is poor build quality yes, which is bad but a console is only as good as its games.

To be honest tho i prefer the Sony consoles, but not because of the systems, i simply prefer the titles available for them. Although i still have neither 360 or PS3.

Yes your right the games do make the console, and at the moment the 360 has the better game choice. But i still stand by my statement that the xbox 360 is a poorly designed, cheap games console.

I bought one, and within the month of me owning it i had 2 games freeze on me, the only reason i sold it was because of that.

I'm not saying the 360 is a terrible machine, it produces some nice graphics but i refuse to back a console that is quite frankly a faulty product.

Of course machines break down and i'm sure the ps3 has had a few go wrong but theres no arguing that what happens to the 360 on a regular basis really shouldnt happen. Matt if yours has lasted 2 years then thats great but there are far to many that havent.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, there both very good consoles and the bitching about them really does get tiresome. I was only having a laff by calling Thai a fanboy ( Even though he is ) so dont take it to heart, I'm sure he hasnt.

The ps3 is a great console and i still say it will come out ontop in the end... but thats my opinion.

Besides all that, my PC wins hands down in the graphics department from both consoles. so nerrrrr

Anyways, I'm happy with my ps3. I vow not to get into any more arguments about consoles.

I havent got it. I still havent finished Condemded 2 or Jerricho on the 360 or RFOM on the PS3 so not buying anything else for a while.

I hear what your saying there, i've gone mad and bought quite a few games, but the problem is i havent sat down and played one properly yet.

You serious!!? Can you even read?? Read through my posts and see what I've actually written! I've never said the 360 was a better console. Ever. I actually said the complete opposite..the PS3 is a 'better' console, the 360 is a better games machine. More games, cheaper games, better games, better online gaming, better port overs, more online gamers, better online set up and a far better controller!

I'm far from a fanboy mate trust me, I've got nothing against Sony at all. I had the PS1 and PS2. I've got a PSP (which I use alot), Sony DVD player, Sony TV, Sony amp, Sony stereo and Sony 5.1 surrond sound!! If Sony made the 360 I'd buy it. Couldn't give a sh*t who makes it. Couldn't give a sh*t if its Sony or not. I don't have a hard on for Microsoft like some people do, never been a PC gamer and never really cared for Microsoft other than inventing the net!

The 360 is overall, at the moment the better comsole. FAR from a dieing machine. More sold than the PS3 and FAR more online gamers so how does that make it a dieing console? Utter rubbish.

Compared to the Wii the PS3 is a dieing machine! Wii out sells both of them! I've got 3 mates with PS3's, 17 with 360's.

Oh and Condemned 2 is brilliant! Get it.

GT5P excluded. I outright refuse to buy half a game then a full game later.

Don't buy a second hand one seriously, just buy a premium, you'll get a hdmi port and the peace of mind of a 3 year guarantee should you get the RROD
