i have it on both and i actually like the graphics more on the ps3 and the world DOES seem busyer, also the ps3 loads up cut scenes faster on the xbox u will walk out side and wait for the world to brighten up and be drawn in etc but u dont get that on the ps3.
im playing it on the 360 tho as thats what i started it on.

how good are the projectors compared to a conventional tv screen?
do you have to have a dedicated screen or can you just project on to the wall?

btw, just got told of a mate some gamestation stores are opening at 12am to sell this

you need a flat white wall or preferably a Projector screen.. Only thing is you need to wait for it to warm up before you get a good picture (well you do on my uncles) and bulbs are expensive when they go

As said you do need a dedicated screen, mine is portable (not really practical given it's size tho), the screen cost about £280 and i think the cheapest 1080p projector is about £1200 or so, the picture is a LOT better than my HDTV, but it think that's mainly down to actually being able to see the quality more, 32" or 2m? :-k

Projectors are the way forward. PGR4 on my mates on a screen 3/4 the size of the entire wall sat a few foot away from it using the in dash view, Simply awesome!!!

He keeps telling me to take the PS3 down to hook it up for GT5P

  You have never played any of the other GTA's??? Where have you been!!!! lol  GTA is one of the best series of games!! Get on Ebay right now, Buy a PS2 (if you dont have one) and get GTA (PS1), GTA2 (PS1), GTA3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas and GTA4 for the 360 / PS3!!!!! You will be able to pick the series up very cheap now..

Nope!

Not interested in PS1 games or PS2 games, I hated both consoles tbh.
And yes, I owned them both before any one starts.
There's a bit of history between me and GTA. My mates, and every sad soul around became SO obsessed with the game it put me off playing games for years. The sheer thought of being associated with peole waiting till midnight to get a game and then throwing sickies the next day to play it all day scared the life out of me.
It culminated with a complete stranger coming into my work to see me and starting the conversation with "have you got GTA yet?"
SAD BAR STEWARD.
The original game on the PS1 looks god awful too. I'm a graphics whore, I make no secret of that.

It probably was but I just lost interest in computer games at that stage.
I used to like my Saturn much more than the PS1

I've just been down to get my copy of gta4 from argos. I dont know what all the fuss was about pre-ordering?

Everywhere online said out of stock, but argos had them in, woolworths had loads on the shelves and so did gamestation.

I'm about to fire up the ps3 and see what all the hype is about.... hope it lives up to my expectations.

Mine's on my desk - probably not gonna have chance to play until tomorrow evening - got a good few months of gameplay there (don't use console that much) so not in a huge rush, looking forward to it though :)

So what do people think of it then?

I'm quite a big fan of the other gta's so for me it's a game i can sit down and play quite happily.

It seems to have some nice features and the graphics and sounds are pretty good....You can even change the ringtone of your mobile phone..... Now thats groovy

I've been chucked off now as the tv is in use #-o
