Nice set of Azev A's, audi quattro style arches and you're sorted.

The Clio V6 has the same setup and that works fine as a bit of extra storage space.

Why would you want to make an MR2 look like a volvo? :-:

Imagine if it had a blue interior as well.

its been pointed out that the similarity between the mr2 photoshop and a volvo 480 is uncanny. the 480 is a modern version of the iconic P1800
so for me thats not a bad thing at all (blue interior or not!!)
like I originally said "cool we need more of this!"

totally agree,so what if its not a toyota production model, its damn cool in its own right, hell i bet they had a hundred prototype possible designs for the final shape of the mk1 that never made it,this could have been one of them.

Stick a working tailgate on that and id certainly drive it,engine access would be a bit crap though....

I think a concept existed from toyota of a glass cover over the engine bay - show casng their technology.

I think there may be issues with the engine position...

Let's go for it this summer Woodsy.

Must be easy to get a Mk1 roof from a scrapper and weld it onto a working Mk1, then just fill in the rest as you go.

Clio V6 works fine like this, just ends up like a hatchback with the boot full.

You could have the back half open up like a clamshell to give access to the engine.

Or simply a hatchback rear window and a removable top cover/rear shelf.

All the cooling comes from under the engine anyways so just need a fan and some venting out the rear.

the clio V6 is an engine out job for service is it not? (use to live not far from TWR when they were road testing the prototypes of these and got to see a different one every night a good 18 months before they were officially launched, test driver lived next door to my best mate and was french and would never ell us the layout, we thought 4wd V8 from the sound so werent a million miles away on the engine front)

But why one earth would you want to try and make a car look like the god awful volvo 480?

Sure the P1800 is a decent looking car, but saying that the 480 is the modern (20 years ago) version of the P1800, is an insult to the P1800. Lets face it there is nothing even remotely attractive about a 480.
