Scott,

As the gates to the public open at 9, what time do us club stand folk need to be there by?

I presume we need to get in and sorted before the public arrive?

Actually as public park up separately you can get there anytime in the morning. However, it's usually a good idea to get there early as it gets very very busy and the queues get quite long...plus if they suddenly feel full up they will close the stands.

Hi mate
Got this from the Japfest website
Q. What time are we allowed onto the site?
A. Trade and club members will be granted
access onto the site at 07:00 am providing
you have a vehicle pass clearly displayed in
your windscreen. Trade pass holders may
arrive from midday on Friday 16th May to
set up but may not remain on site overnight.

I will be there at 7! :thumleft:
Hope others will be too...might need a hand setting up.... 8-[

There was a big 'Thud' this morning as all the tickets were dropped through my letterbox. I will aim to send all these out in the next week or so.

Some special instructions at the bottom of the letter

If travelling on the M4 - Please use junction 18 for Gates A & B and junction 17 for gate C.
Due to the size of the event there is always a strong police presence on the roads outside Japfest. With this in mind we recommend that speed limits are observed and that all efforts are made to ensure vehicles comply with road traffic regulations (illegal number plates were a particular problem last year - if your members have "show" number plates they should fit them once inside the circuit!)

We need to enter via Gate C.

All that is left to arrange now is some sunny weather and to establish whether a barbecue is a good idea or not. I dont mind supplying the coal and barbecue (If it fits in the boot???) in return for a few cups of tea throughout the day and maybe the odd sausage and burger!
Let me know if its worth me bringing it :thumleft:

Hell yeah! I don't mind bringing down a bag of charcoal, and some burgers/sausages. If it won't fit in your boot, we could always grab a few disposable bbq's.

As for arriving for 7am, that would involve me leaving at 5am, so I think I'll aim to arrive for around 7.30-8ish.

Good man! :thumleft:
The barbecue i have dismantles. If i sacrifice the spare wheel (which would not fit anyway) i reckon the top of the barbecue would go in there and the legs in the boot.

Hopefully no one will object to this …

I have 4 spare entry tickets for Japfest, due to some forum flakies saying they wanted tickets but never had any real intention of actually attending, leaving me to pay in advance and then vanishing. Muppets …

So if any of the IMOC guys are intending to go to Japfest and want a discounted ticket then let me know.

The tickets are £10 ea postage is free.

I'll have two of them off you (as long as that's OK with you Scott?).

I just found out I'm not working the whole morning so can come after all.

Scott - any stand passes going still?

For anyone thinking of going who doesn't have an advance ticket, although the advanced price through the Japfest website is £13, they stick on a £1.60 booking fee per ticket so you only end up saving 40p  I'm sure they'll tack that on at the end for postage too

What do you mean mate? Am sending tickets and stand pass out tomorrow for everybody. You just need the tickets to gain entry to the venue and display the car pass so that the marshalls can direct you to the right area. :-k

People with just car passes have got their tickets from elsewhere eg paid more via the website or bought from other forums.
