Hi,

I live near Bluewater in a little town called Swanscombe (inbetween greenhithe and gravesend).

I work in Maidstone so can always arrange something nearer to you after work (although my insurance on it will run out after next saturday so cant drive it after). Alternatively i can make myself available at weekends without too much trouble so totally up to you

I've put in the standard toyota stereo it came with. Id planned on putting in the head unit from my tubby, but the GF decided she wanted my old one so i'll be keeping the tubby headunit where it is.


I also noticed i forgot to mention the gearbox. When coming down the gears into 3rd, the syncro is a little worn. With general driving its fine, but if you carry too much speed coming down it clunks a little. Going up the gears is fine at any speed.

Today i've managed to give it a wash and quick polish, and then the heavens opened just when i was about to take some snaps. I had to wait for a dry window to dry off the car to take pics.

Also today i did an oil change including the filter. I've refitted the original behind seat cubby boxes too. Finally i fitted some Vibe kevlar speakers (pic in album) which were going spare. The doors as you can see are dynamatted.

Taking the stereo into account, i'll knock £100 off so im only asking £3100

could possibly have a viewing on wednesday mate? im going to look at a red mr2 in sittingbourne on tuesday so pending that ill come into maidstone and have a look, little bit concerned about the worn synchro in 3rd.. is this an easy thing to sort out or...?

A gearbox place can rebuild the syncro's for you, but easier to try fitting another box. But you run the risk of getting another the same considering how common it is for the syncros to wear. Its only when coming down the gears with speed that it happens, under normal conditions its fine (how i never spotted it when i first test drove the car) so cant see it being a big issue.

Wednesday is fine, let me know by Tuesday evening so i know to take the right car.

for probably one of the nicest guys you'll have the chance to meet not seen the car but from previous experience with luke i've no doubts that this car is anything other than described and really would have been looked after well if his previous cars are anything to go by
