How can it not

(at least partly) be the fault of the person who is driving beyond their visibility?
If they were at a safe distance they wouldn't have hit anything.

Impaired visibility means you slow down, not drive into anything and everything then claim that's all OK because you couldn't see sh!t

If someone is tail-gating me I either:-
1) slow down

- it's brilliant, it's the right thing to do AND it winds the oiks up no end!

(ok, once or twice on motorway I've then employed tactic two, slotted in behind them and returned them the favour

)
2) drop a gear or two, hit VTEC on full clog, rev to redline.

Tail-gaters mostly don't have cars they care about, therefore only very, very rarely can they match my Preludes acceleration
and
rev-limit, let alone your tubby's.

The faster my car is, it seems the more sensible I drive it.
