None of them support HD as standard, they dont play blu-ray and the graphics arent quite as good.
Given another year the PS3 will wipe the floor with the Xbox in terms of game availability, size and graphics, its going to because its more powerful and the blu-ray capability gives you 50Gb to play with instead of 8Gb..

I didnt say that.I said given time the size of game and possibilities on the PS3 will outstrip the 360 because of the higher storage space available on a blu-ray disc.
Common sense tells you that much.
Whatever happened to civilised discussion? No need to get all personal.I'm not a fanboy by any means.
I bought a PS3 based on the technical merits of the system over the other consoles available on the market.
Like I said, all my mates have 360's so it would have mad emore sense for me to buy one of those, but having used them, and looked at the quality and features for the money they arent worth it in my opinion.

FEAR, Half-life2 and COD3 look terrible on the PS3.

Once again crappy ports are being blamed for yes sub-standard versions on the PS3 compared to the 360 versions.
(and Half Life 2 has been patched now)
I've said it before but only the software developers who can be bothered to write things from the ground up on the PS3 and who have the time and patience to extract the best from it's"challenging" hardware will have games that shine above the rest.
A lot of developers have compained that the PS3 IS difficult to work with and perhaps that's why it's suffering with a lot of ports at the moment?
Naughty Dog(Unchartered) have said the PS3 is a more capable machine thanks to the cell and if they we're to write that game to the 360 it would have to be cut down as they don't think the 360's processing power would be enough? True or a one sided statement because they're under Sony's wing.
Time will tell if the PS3 is the more capable machine once the programmers get to know the hardware better but i do think the flood of 360 exclusives/debut releases will slow down next year.Prediction's on software sales for later this year say PS3 will outsell the 360.
Piracy on the 360 playing a big part? but if this is the case will the 360 stay as the lead development platform or will the software companies start releasing the games first on the unhacked platform for an initial better return?
We'll just have to wait and see
ps.One pi$$ed off PS3 owner because Bioshock has been canned and that is bloody awesome
(so are PRG4 and Crackdown)
urs must be faulty.SamUK wrote:actually your wrong.
there wasnt any standalone players with a network connection for less than£300 so yea i did buy it for the bluray.
i wont deny its good i get to play MGS4 and stuff but thats not the point were making.
to be honest id take it back if i could get what i paid for it but ill jus have to let it gather dust(which is does suprisingly quickly lol) untill there is something i want to play.
