Great ps3 deal

GT5 looks quite boring, really.

I never liked the other GT games as much as PGR2/3 (I'm not as fond of PGR4, probably because I'm incredibly crap at it).

PS3 for me is all about SingStar and fl0w and old games from the store, and BluRay playback. And MotorStorm, which was loads of fun but I haven't played for ages.[/i]

I got that in my bundle, played it for 15 minutes, decided it was quite possibly the single worst game I'd ever played and took it back. Thankfully HMV were kind enough to trade it in.

Shockingly bad game, up there with Ridge Racer 7!

haha! Yep! Played Motorstorm on a 106 inch HD projector with Black Beast Pistol on his PS3 ....did 2 laps....turned it off.

RR7 is f**king terrible! Far better on the PSP!

normal hdmi leads cost £5 from fleabay so no issues with that but to get a proper 1080p one for the 360 console i had, i would of had to buy one for £35

only thinking of getting a ps3 for blu ray and two games to be honest gta4 and gt5 whenever that finally makes it

Its way better than the over-arcadey one level gaming that is motorstorm. Don't rate motorstorm at all. It looks good and well err thats it.

I do like the GT series, but i prefer RD3 and hopefully RD1 although it looks like its going to get ruined by the merkinisation of the game, ie making it too easy and controller rather than wheel friendly.

Exactly what I've been saying all along. All you PS3 fanboys talk about is GT5, NOTHING ELSE, and thats because you've got NOTHING ELSE.

I don't consider MotorStorm to be anything other than a game. Fun, fast, silly. I'm certainly not considering it a driving simulator!

PS3 is free no subscription fee...i play COD on it all night long, FNR3, GT5P and NBA, Tekken etc...no problems there...large friends list, regular updates, Pro Evo lags a bit though but so does 360 i hear.

More bugs? Whats this I hear from every1's 360 breaking down and being sent back to MS? I dont know of many ps3's breaking but a few patches now and then never bugged me. You guys got just as much patches and glitches eg Assassins Creed!

You should get your facts straight before you, Thai and Matt start jumping the 360 wagon...because you guys seem to be lacking gaming knowledge and the industry....contemplating on not sticking to details and facts and insist on just slating GT5...if I wanted to dig into detail theres loads of games i prefer on the PS3. But I am impressed with Lost Oddysey which is only 360 exclusive.

Thats why ive been saying its personal preference. Im hardly gonnabe convinced by a bunch of die hard Halo/Gears of War players saying GT5 is no good when they are contradicting themselves because GT5 is miles better than Forza!! lol

If you say that then ill validate the point that I think Halo is overrated and you guys dont have anything decent on the 360 that interests me.
Anything I want is on the PS3 anyway. But the fact still stands PS3 is a better console...thats the point im trying to get across....yes it costs more...

I didnt have any consoles before, didnt like the PS1 or 2 or the original Xbox.

I know which console I'd rather switch on to play a game on, it's as easy as that.

If I'm in a shop and see games on both, I know which one I would buy for.

This "might" change but at the moment, it isnt. I'll keep the PS3 but until there is a spate of games worth buying for it, mainly that arent also on the 360 (for less) then it's a bluray player only.

Trust me mate my gaming knowledge and the industry is a lot higher than most people I know. I've been into gaming since I could hold a joypad/controller. All my mates are into them. My best mate WORKS in the gaming industry so I get the news/rumours/tips long before everyone else does. So please tell me what 'facts and details' I'm missing or have made up? I'd love to know.

I've never said Forza was better than GT5. I think driving sims are damn boring. All you PS3 fanboys go on about is GT5. NOTHING else. Just read back through the threads. Its damn funny.

The PS3 IS a better made machine, but the 360 IS a better games machine. Fact.

Its cheaper to buy, FAR more games, far better port-overs, far cheaper games, more exclusive games, better online gaming, far larger online community, achievements and gamerscores and a controller that doesn't feel like its made out of lego and blue tack.

lol we need to get our facts straight? yea its free online but theres a reason for that. live is so much better and £30 a year is hardly bank breaking.

you save that by buying games as alot of ps3 games are more expensive anyway

the PS3 was meant to come out when the 360 did but they delayed it so again, its kinda a crappy excuse cos it was there fault.

bugs and system failures are different too. i said right at the start that the failure rate is the only thing you guys can come back to when trying to prove the PS3 is the better machine.

most ps3 games are half assed buggy versions of the 360 game. condemned 2 and half life come to mind.

and ill go back to the point of we DONT have to install anything when we wanna play.

as for GT5, i think youll find i wrote about that in about 3 lines of the 30 i wrote so how do you figure its the only thing i can pick on?

xbox 360 has a shitty failure rate and live costs a few pence.

the ps3 is an overhyped machine with an online service that is trying its hardest to catch up with live, a bluray drive that bottleknecks the whole system unless you install games, a lack of any new IPs (gt5, mgs4 etc) or many other games for that matter and if i really wanted to pick i think theres only about 6 games that have ever scored more than 90% on metacritic.

im sure i could go on but even i get bored doing this sometimes and my lack of knowledge in the industry does restrict me.

Maybe i didn't explain myself properly. What i meant is that motorstorm is a game that has no depth to it. There are no settings to mess about with, you are limited to a handful of different handling vehicles with basically different skins. It gets a bit repetitive very quickly.
