Another big thanks to James and the crew at 3S
/ ToyotaGT!

I called James this morning as some parts I'd ordered on his behalf were delivered and he suggested I come over with them and have a cuppa and a chat as we'd not spoken for a while.

I get 30 minutes into the journey on the M4 when all of a sudden I see plumes of oil smoke pouring out of the engine bay and drivers behind flashing me with their wipers on full speed

I pull over onto the hard shoulder and, even to a non-trained eye such as mine, it was apparent that oil was peeing out of somewhere and it didn't look good.

Now I know that I have breakdown cover with my insurance but unfortunately had neglected to keep the info in my car and I had a new phone, so no number on there.

I called James and after 5 minutes of persuading him that yes, April 1st had come and gone and this wasn't a wind-up

he called up the insurance company and arranged for the recovery people to call me.

Turned out I am with Britannia Rescue through A-Plan

(Ensign) and they were on the scene and had me loaded within 45 minutes.

Got the car recovered to 3S and, at this point, I was expecting to have to walk up to the train station and make the arduous journey home by train, bus and taxi

(and I loathe public transport

'cos it's invariably crap).

However.

.

James dealt with a couple of customers who were already there, then had one of his engineers get my tubby up on the ramps

- the fault was diagnosed

(the turbo oil return feed had been touching the downpipe and had melted through

) and he fabricated a new pipe,

fixed it, and all within 90 mins of starting the job! I was a happy chappie and went merrily on my way.

This also appears to have solved the problem that I was having here

Anyway, big shout for James and the team at 3S, they really know their stuff and it seems that nothing is too much trouble for them
