Thanks very much to Elite in essex and to Claire and Barry for all their help there.

I had my new alloys, tyres and Tein adjustable tension rods fitted with them today and I'm now happy. And the car is steering in a straight line once again.











For those that are interested the wheels are 17" RVS Spyders 8 inch wide all round with Toyo proxes T-1Rs

Funnily enough that is my next job...

Not sure what springs to go for though. I have Bilstein shocks on there allready with Eibach springs that claim to lower it 15mm but it's still way to high so I'm thinking some 40mm springs?

Claire - It drove great thanks! Although I took it real easy with the new tyres on. It was amazing the difference it makes to have all your wheels aligned correctly. I actually drove in a straight line whilst holding the steering wheel with a lose grip for the first time!

My next job is to lower it though. Not sure about 25mm ro 40mm drop? I have no clue about it so will have to do a search I guess and find out what it is I'm after. lol.

they improve turn in and stop geometry change.

i had cusco pillowball tension rods, along with polybushes, TRD roll bars and coilovers + full alignment @ elite on my old 2 before it was written off. the thing handled like a go-kart

The rubber bush of the tension rod has been replaced with pillow balls (spherical bearing) in all TEIN's Pillow Ball Tension Rod to eliminate tow change through compliance on acceleration or deceleration and allow only for vertical movement by the lower - arms. It also reduces the roll at corners and creates quicker steering response.
In addition, the wheel alignment (caster angle) can be set through adjustments.

Not sure how much a difference it'll make, but that tie rod is connected wrongly. It should be on top of the lower arm and bolt down through it, not underneath bolting up through it.

Just thought I'd mention it.
