Post by Neil_turbo »

As you can see the lower parts of the bodywork (under sills, underside of arches and bumper return panel) have been "stonechipped". This is a thin layer of rubber put underneath the paint as to absorb any stones that do hit there and bounce them off without cracking the paint, or penetrating the metal and causing potential rust areas - so will prolong the life of these arches.

Front arches have not been replaced but are more than liveable at the moment, though they are not mint like the back.

The chasis was welded in places where needed during the work last year and has been commented to be good and solid by the MOT garage this year (same people who failed it last year which prompted the work!)

This car has won best on stand at Tatton Park last year judged by the rolls-royce OC - :thumleft:

Genuine reason for sale - looking for a supercharger track car as this is too nice to track

I have since changed to roadster alloy wheels, will update some pictres when i can find, but a teardrop set can also be supplied.

Any questions please ask, price - £1500, viewing highly reccommended!

Cheers

Neil

Thank you for the nice comments. :thumleft:

It is a serious shame to sell the car, between myself and my girlfriend we have owned the car for over 2 years, but with the insurance and tax just running out, and the TRD taking place as the show car, this car just isnt getting used as much as it should so it should go to someone else who will enjoy it!

Sorry but i am not open to offers on the price as i am in no rush to sell the car.

Cheers

Cheers for the feedback again :D

My experience with mk1s shows spend the extra money at the beginning and save it over and over again in the long run!

I will be doing a full history log at the weekend and advertising elsewhere, so if anyone is interested get in quick!

Cheers

Hi Micheal

Yes the car is still for sale, here are a few interior pics....

Image

Image

everything is in great condition, even though it all looks a little grey in the pics, no scuffs or marks. the wheel, gaitor and knob leather let it down so these were refurbed by rhon :thumleft:

Here are the wheels on the car now, however if wanted standard teardrops can be supplied off my other mk1 instead.

A couple of exterior shots showing quality of paint and colour

There are 3 bodywork areas on the car that are not perfect, these are both front near and offside front bumper arch returns, and there is a small scuff on the rear bumper, all pictured below...
