Gear Gaiter Thanks Rhon

Well rhons service is as good as I remember.

Removed the tatty gaiter and blue knob.

Polished the knob back to mirror ally and fitted the new gaiter.

So much work to do on it.

How did you attach it to the metal wire frame?

I bought one around christmas (thanks again for the free shippin Ron ) and couldn't get it right at all. Took it to the shoe repair shop arround the corner who attached it properly for 5€

The gaiters just glue on. You need to keep a few bulldog clips handy, and leave an overlap of about 1 - 1.5 cm. Dry fit it first and then use a universal contact adhesive to glue the suede sides together around the wire frame Easy when you know how

Its quite easy. I just tacked each corner then hand sew it round.

I spent more than an hour sewing it in. First time I ever sewed anything & it worked out perfectly. Wish I'd thought of contact adhesive.
