I was not going to take that much spares to be honest. Think i changed the bulk of bits in the service.

Bit worried on the rad thing but hey sometimes you just have to chance it. No point in changing it for the sake of it

Hope it will be ok.

Ill take a few belts etc. I have a spare Alternator but not sure if i can fit it in.

A few tools are a must and ill probably stick in a spare set of brake pads in case anyone needs them. I checked mine and they are fine but you never know. Oh and of course bulbs

Apologies for the delay in paying for the stickers Shane - the cheque will be in the post tomorrow, promise!

Has anyone else not heard back from Domonique at the Chateau yet about camping? I think i'll send him a little reminder..

I still need to get myself a little camping table and investigate a new tent, as my little 2 man was a tad small last year and didn't have a porch type area for storing stuff...

Shane and Michael,

Which ferry crossing have you booked to come back to england?

Also are we staying in dieppe on the 19th?

Just trying to get my head around it and I've got a bit confused

Ok,

I've managed to get hold of Shane via text so I've now booked my return ferry crossing for 13:30 on Friday 20th June 2008. Cheers for that Shane.

I personally think we should do another hotel search for dieppe and get something booked rather than chance it whilst over there but I will as always go with the flow. I can get Reema on the case again if we want as she's pretty good at that sort of thing.

For those of you that have been asking for pics of my new wheels when I get them... I went down to elite in essex today and got the suspension mods fitted along with my new alloys and toyos. I'm made up. Was really nervous when I got out of bed this morning but the nerves have now turned into relief cause they look just how I wanted. \:D/

The car up on the ramps and the standard wheels gone.

Tein pillow ball tension rods fitted and looking very green!

Rear view of the wheels, just been fitted and about to be 4 wheel lazer aligned

And the wheels fitted on the car. Just a few pics outside the garage before I set off.

Hey Pete the wheels look real nice there matey.

They will be fun to clean with all that spokes. :D

Really nice though.

Stick a bit of tyre black on the tyres and your sorted :thumleft:

Susan and i are happy to book another place for the Thursday night on our way back to the ferry and think you may be right about not chancing it.

Let Reema loose on the Internet and see what she can come up with

Pete,

The cars looking good, especially shiney, yep, love the wheels, like Shane said enjoy the cleaning of them......

Definately coming back on the Friday and I would rather have somewhere booked in Dieppe rather than turn up on spec, go for it Reema.

Hey folks

had a quick look for hotels in dieppe.

Not that many coming up in the search but i thought this one looked quite nice and at £50 odd quid for 2 probably not a bad price.

We are all down by the seaside and not that far to blast up to the ferry along the coast road which would be nice.

See what Reema comes up with though as i hear she is demon at this.

Seems difficult to get parking in the ones i looked at.

PS. Michael where you putting the dart game. Im going down to le clercs for my outdoor game. Sounds a good idea though

Hi Guys,

I put it in Reema's hands and just like magic, this is what she came up with...

Hotel Windsor
http://www.hotelwindsor.fr/anima_gb.htm
This one has a weirdo pricing structure but, from what I can work out it’s approx 90-100 Euros per room per night for a sea facing room and 80 Euros per room per night for a room at the back of the hotel (based on the time of year we’re going), all options including breakfast. Not sure about parking.

Hôtel De La Plage
http://www.booking.com/hotel/fr/plageho ... eb3b411f40
This one is about 75 Euros per room per night and has “free public parking at a location nearby”. Breakfast is a further 7 Euros each.

Au Grand Duquesne
http://augrandduquesne.free.fr/uk/index_uk.html
This one is between 40 and 61 Euros and I’m guessing that’s per room and it’ll be towards the higher price for the time of year we want to go. I am not sure about parking but we could always email them to ask.

Ibis Hotel http://www.accorhotels.com/accorhotels/ ... otel.shtml
This is 5 minutes by car from the centre and probably not much longer to walk and it has a private, closed outdoor car park. The room is approx 70 Euros and breakfast is extra at 8 Euros per person, served from 4am to noon! This seems the smartest option for a comfortable, hassle free stay in the kind of hotel you’d find back home.

Formula 1 Hotel http://www.hotelformule1.com/formule1/f ... otel.shtml
This is pure scaggy cheapness! It’s a budget version of the Ibis. It would be approx 40 Euros per room night including breakfast. Each room can accommodate up to 3 people. They don’t have showers though, only wash basin facilities from what I understand. It’s pretty much in the centre and within walking distance of the quayside/beach front. I can’t find any information on parking though.

Peeps, take a look and let us know your thoughts,

Pete and Reema.

Yea nice work you guys, I think the IBIS looks the best one and at least you know what your'e getting. A nice 10 minute stroll to the town centre isn't a problem ( Gordon would this be ok with you, could always get a taxi )
We wouldn't bother with breakast so it looks like a cheap option for the night.

Right Guys & Gals it seems like the Ibis is the choosen hotel for our last night in France so i have booked this up tonight.

That should leave us with a nice run down the coast to catch the ferry at lunch time on the 20th.

I am sure Michael and Pete are also on to the booking so get it done before its too late for any other staying with us on the extended trip.

Cheeers Pete and Reema

We will see you there.

PS- Cost £54 and that includes the tax. I booked using the link supplied above.
