they are a shocking match, the arch lip is all wrong and the profile is miles away.... the closest we have ever managed to find is mk1 corolla arches or datsun cherry N12 model 3 door ones, correct arch lip and slope, just needs the radius slicing and bending around a little to follow the profile better, plus they are £15 a panel :thumleft:

while the fit is better tony i found i still had to do a certain amount of fettling to get them to fit, they have never been an exact fitment, but then that goes for any copy replacement panels i guess.

The end result looks pretty much identical though, but what i would say is the A and C panels in that kit save a lot of time :thumleft:

Yep i agree, it really depends on your skills, if your good at panel work then fitting a cheaper arch panel would be well within your skills, if a little time consuming, but probably not advisable if your not good at panelwork & you are getting a bodyshop to do it because the time it would take to get the panel to look right could be spent on a better fitting panel in the first place :-k , Jinxy

Sounds just the ticket Paul, my body repair guy should have no difficulty with the above :thumleft:

Thanks everyone, been down JDG route twice before, last time buying direct from the guy who makes them. I have had thoughts of getting in contact with him and seeing whether a not for profit buy could be set up with him for this club, as the prohibitive costs of (even at £60) per B section puts a lot of mk1's in the uneconomical to repair class.

Don't know where you're getting your prices from HT but they are a lot cheaper than that...look on ebay.

THEY ARE PRICED AT £30 EACH FOR THE REAR CORNER,SILL CONNECTER AND SILLS,THE WHEEL ARCHES ARE £45.

I'm not sure on postage for a single item but he only charged me £5 on the complete set (2 x A, B & C panels) because I bought outside ebay so saving him his PayPal charges.
