Come on everyone book up for the amazing Nurburgring!! I've already booked and it works out £250 per person which is cheap!! You stay in Adenau which is next to the circuit!! (lots of bars etc)

Its an early Easter in 2008 so weather may be more likely to be unpredictable

But will be going out for the Easter w/e and also the opening on Tuesday

Prob not taking my old MR2 at Easter but hope to visit the Ring during 08 with it

Might be first w/e in March

Hoping to visit in April as well when ST owners will be out there

Yes im abit worried about the weather, last year was so nice and sunny at Easter but it was way later in April. Fingers crossed that it's ok :-k The Ringweekends crowd should be alot of fun there's about 25 cars convoying there with Porsches, Ferraris, an NSX, Scoobys, Skylines, it's going to be mad!! \:D/

Easter Ring trip

Post by cg nz »

Well made it out for Easter but came back early due to the weather - snow/rain

Others in group hesitant about laps in such poor weather and little prospect of significant improvement over Sun-Tues

Next trip in late April...

What tyres were you running out of interest?

How did the ARBs feel?

Ring trip

Post by cg nz »

Video no longer available!

Is that how you were timing the laps?

Sub 10.00 laps - Seems a little crazy to be pushing on when the weather was so varied over the weekend

I saw the video, it lasted about 11 minutes, not sure if that was for a whole lap or whatever.

I saw you there mate but had no idea you are on here, i was in this white Evo TME. Glad you made it home safe as conditions terrible esp for RWD cars :thumleft:

The weather was real bad but i have to admit i couldn't help but push it myself, i just got carried away escpecially when you start overtaking quicker cars like GT3 rs anf Ferrari 430! But this did cause me to have a slight ahem, off at Wehrsiefen  car and driver ok though

On friday i got caught in a blizzard, after one lap;

We didn't want to push it too much so took some time out to go off roading at 'camp 4 fun'which was brilliant:

We also managed to get a session in on the GP circuit, apparently it was only the 2nd time they had let the public on so was quite special!

And we also did a couple of rounds at the Michael Schumacher karting centre

Image[/img]

We had a purpose built Mk1 in our pack but sadly it couldn't come out much as it was on cut slicks and was usless in the conditions..

Can't wait for the next trip, wicked place :thumleft:
