anyone got a picture of a standard gear stick? I cant work out if mine already has a short shift on or not :( Or what can I check around the gear stick area to see if its a short shift?

Am I right in thinking that the Rev3+ are already fitted with short gear sticks or does the short shift kit change something else as well??

I'm confused also now  rob brooks, To me, yours doesn't look that short, in fact the one that came on my 2 (rev2) was about the same height!

Rob shipp - Looks a bit shorter....

here's mine.

Came with a drop plate and a shorter stick and longer bolts to go through the drop plate. :-s

It's so short now that I've had to take the gaiter off

Now looks hardcore

Looks stupid short, and is a stupid short throw, but still clears the surrounds.

I did get the right kit and to me it feels ok. I know a short shifter doesn't mean "short" in length - at least it shouldn't. It means the pivot point is modified to give a reduced travel. But the actual shifter is shorter than the one that came off my 2.

  that looks way too short  What does it feel like? can you shift with your whole hand or do you have to just use your fingers on the top of it??

Is it possible to just get the short shift bit without the shorter gear stick?

--edit--

then again wihout the gaiter around it it looks easir to change gear..

Looks longer than my standard rev2 turbo so maybe thats a shortshifter already :-s (I'll get a pic of the one I took out in a bit)

Yeh it is :-$ But it feels much more precise without the crap wobbling round I had before. I have the uprated bearing kit that was on a GB yonks ago also but I looked at the instructions when I was fitting the shortshifter and thought F%&K that
