i test drove this car and almost bought it. I would agree that it drives really well - nicer than mine. I think anyone not put off by fixing the bodywork - most significantly corrosion at the bottom of the A pillars, and a few other (minor) bits that weren't mentioned before I went to see it - will buy it.

What is the UNDERNEATH like? (Chassic, inner wheel arches, floor pans, sills, front bumper bar, front beam where arb joins on in centre of underbody etc) those are the most important area for anyone to know about imo.

Any monkey can get wheel arches replaced (at a price) but that underside is vital and a much bigger (and more dangerous) headache!

I'm amazed at what people can take offence at on the net.

I was actually trying to help by pointing out that if the underside was in good condition then this is a BARGAIN and the arches shouldn't put anyone off buying if they are looking for a project car.

I wasn't insinuating the underside was bad I was genuinely interested as you never went into detail, and belive it or not i'm not a mind reader and 'ok by assumption of no mention' is not a good way to buy cars.

Fact is the majority of people don't even get underneath a car and give it a proper look over (and I mean PROPER with a good firm poke and full inspection of rust around the structrual areas) yes MOTS cover that for the most part but an MOT in itself isn't a guarantee of 'advisment' or 'about to go' areas under the car (namely because most sellers wouldn't include the advisement form and just give the MOT).

Anyway, hope you sell it. If I had the cash right now i'd prob be interested myself....

...if the underside was spot on ;)

This still not sold? Jesus Christ!

People want something for nothing that is the problem!

I would have had it mate, as ive always loved the way the mica blue's come up polished :) but im getting my arches done soon, so will be keeping mine for a while.
