I'll need to get my ass in gear if I'm still thinking of joining you folks on this. I'm going to end up with expensive last minute ferry tickets otherwise.

I better get my ar$e into gear and sort my stuff out too... Anyone ever used one of those pop-up tents? I've got a 'proper' one which is pretty good, but if I can save myself a bit of time mucking around putting it up then all the better really (more beer time!).

My experiance with those pop up tents so far is that they take 10 seconds to pop up and 10 hours to work out how to fold em back up again!

2 lads had one last year at le mans. I must admit I was pretty jealous to see them sat in chairs with their tent up and cans of beers in their hands whilst I was still putting my poles together!

Vango make good tents. I hope you get all your stuff into your car Jinxy, but just so you know, last year anything we couldn't fit in we just bought when we got there as it's cheap as chips and the hyper marche sells everything! From food and drink to car parts and camping equipment.

We bought all our bbqs and chairs and washing up bowls etc when we got there and anything that didn't fit we just left on site for domonique to sell on ebay!

Still cheaper if it can be taken there and back home though I must admit.

My new wheels and suspension mods have been ordered and am currently waiting for the parts to turn up from Italy. I have given her a service, changed the front discs and tified up a few niggles ready for the trip.

Just got to sort out the paintwork then I'm done.... and skint!

11 weeks to go!!!!

Offer ended today for 20% discount from Speedferries, hopefully you all got booked up ok.

Start thinking about how much money you want to take, petrol, food, beer, Le Mans merchandise and camping costs along with circuit entry £50 needs to be considered. I'm buying £150 worth of Euros each month ( since February ) to help save up a little.
Don't forget to check your insurance is covering you in France and you WILL need breakdown cover, DO NOT risk it as it's just not worth the worry. You can get it as cheap as £40 if you shop around.

Can we make a new list of everyone who is coming as it's been a while since the last list was done.

Le Mans MR2 Trip 2008 Official entry list

1. Michael & Joanne Sheavills
2. Shane & Susan Watt
3. Jnxy
4. Gordon & Alison Moffett
5. Peter Hartley & Reema

I guess my only reservation to that idea would be that you're gonna have to be covering all ages and engines of MR2?

I'll be taking my usual spares,

socket set
spare alternator
spare waterpump and belts
bulbs

Frogge's radiator went last year, got him stuck in Frogland for 1 week till they could sip him in another from Toyota GB, now thats not a nice thought.

Drat -I'm absolutely knackered for making this. Currently in the process of installing new big automated production plant for my work that's taken a year to build -and first production now starts on 12th June (trips on 15th right?). I can't be away when we start-up unfortunately, I designed it so likelly I'll have to be the man to know how to fix it initially. LoL. If the start-up date changes, I'll have to be an absolute last minute booking.

I'm afraid I don't really have any spares to offer... will be bringing a tool kit though. May bring some electrical cable in case anyones exhaust needs to be tied back to the bottom of their car again! #-o :-k

Right, ok i'll bring a small compact socket set then, a few screwdrivers, pliers etc, & some other bits & pieces & put them in a box, i'll make sure i give it some thought on what to bring. Im going to be ok Rad wise as ive got a brand new one in the fitted 2 weeks ago \:D/ just as well i had a look at the old one, it was missing most of the cooling fins & was well hidden by the fan housing, so moral here is give the rad a good inspection both from the front & back at least a month before you set off :thumleft: , Jinxy
