Speculation of what seems to be hatred towards sony. That is utter nonsense. Some things that came out of the PS2 were stunning. As good as the DC was, games like Final Fantasy 12, Gran Turismo, Grand Theft Auto, Okami, Resident Evil 4, Dragon Quest and many more simply wouldnt have been as good. Heck Rez was far better on PS2.
The gamecube on the other hand was technically better in many respects.

It's funny old world. Your list of games above that were the alleged death of the dreamcast are exactly why I would never buy another sony product to play games on.

Final fantasy 12
Gran Turismo was in its third inclination by the time it got to PS2
Resident Evil 4
and so on and so on.

All Sony products rely on countless rehashes of the same old xxxx.
Very little innovation just the same game, slightly improved with +1 on the end of it.

The only thing they have in the pipeline remotely interesting is Little Big Planet. The rest of it we have seen before.

Shame sega lost out to that.

Resident Evil is not Sony.
Okami not Sony.
Rez not Sony.
GTA not...
and so on.

In fact Gran Turismo is not Sony, Its polyphony digital. Sony then purchased them early on. Again a good move.

The DC was an excellent console but its not a shame they lost.
Both nintendo and sony have achieved success with almost everythin they have produced. SEGA however realeased so much crap over the years, Mega CD, 32X, Wondermega, Multimega, many poor games, (along with some crackers!)
Of the major players, MS, Sony, Nintendo, Sega. Sega have realeased the most pants over the years.

And besides, my list wasnt the alledged death of the DC, simply a list of games not really possible to realease with the same quality on it.

Agreed Sega did release some poorly supported hardware before there demise, but I would hardly call the gamecube a roaring success either.
I had a cube and thought some of the games were great.
I particularly liked Pikmin.

Anyway, back to Sony. I know very few of that list was Sony's own titles, but I'm not going to let Gran Turismo under the radar, it may not be Sony in name, but it is on all other counts.

I have to say I don't look on Sony boards much but all the buzz seems to be around sequels. MGS4, Killzone 2, GT 5, GTA4 even Motorstorm 2.

Most of the industry is guilty of it but Sony can't seem to do anything but.

A lot of PS3 owners seem to think the rest of the gaming world is getting at them as individuals.
Not at all, I just to happen not to like what that company puts out as entertainment at the moment, simply as that.
One day when they come up with something fresh I will join the ranks of PS3 owner, but not until.

Sorry mate. But it just seems a lot of people on here have a go at Sony for some pathetic reason and it gets on my nerves. Your right Sony arent innovaters, just general great marketers.
People seem to forget where the market was before Sony. It was still a geeky subject and Sony played a huge part in making games cool and accessible. Im not sayin this wouldnt have happened anyway sometime, but Sonys marketing strategy hit the spot, Nintendo and Sega were useless at that.

I dont have a problem with Sony per say. There's nothing wrong with the PS3.

I would just look at it and think bar the blu ray player it doesnt (yet) offer anything the 360 doesnt at slightly more cost.

I was all excited when I bought it but none of the PS3 only titles have whet my appitite really.

Bit of a let down in that respect.

But I have decided that any cross flatform games I will buy for the 360
I do already own 4 blurays and plan on getting some more this week though so it does get used in that respect

Makes sense to buy 360 multi, as more users online now. The bluray option was great forward thinking. And ballsy confidence it would win.
