WarHawk

Post by Carlos GTS »

I got this from my GF yesterday for my birthday (which isn't until Wendesay :-$ ) Gave it a bit of a go last night.. But to be honest. I was kinda lost really. I sort of get te concept.. Large maps planes, jeeps, tanks 3rd person etc.. But it was very difficult to actually do anything for not getting blown up or shot down. Anyone got any tips or help that can be thrown my way to assist my learning curve???

Cheers
Carl

Play on the private unranked servers to start with so you get used to the maps and where everything is located without crapping up your stats to begin with (i wish i would have done this)

Don't run around slashing at thin air with the knife when you have no weapons/grenades but an enemy if front of you with a machine gun. They will not suddendly think "ah! i'll stop running backwards while firing and instead run towards him and impale myself upon his blade" It does nothing for your global accuracy (i wish i could drill this one into my thick skull) and i'm now trying really hard to get this back upto 25% to aquire a medal ](*,)

Hope that 1 day the IMOC clan will all be online together so we can have a proper team game :D

Check out all the ribbons in your stats, They will tell you what is required in a (ranked) game to obtain them and will get you bonus points at the end of a round.

I try and go into every game with the intention of getting a ribbon i'm missing but it never happens. I went for the outstanding volunteer last night (50 points, no kills) and after 28 points some scrote TDM'd me so i spent the entire remainder of that match seeking TDM revenge

Was a good game IIRC :+:

Just take it easy at first, find out where you find out where the weapons are. Learn how to drive the tank etc and then move onto the warhawk. I think it's a really excellent game, but the OP is totally right - there is a fairly steep learning curve, because you're pitting your stiles against people who have been playing it for months and months.

Do you wish to join the clan ? :rambo: That way if someone from here is in a game you can join them (providing the game is not full) :thumleft:
