Post by gordy.r »

Just got my Skyline back from it's engine rebuild....

Looking to sell it now and get another MR2 nad plough on ahead with a V6 conversion.... 8)

Skyline is running fantastic now and looking gorgeous but costs a fair bit to run!!!

Here's a few photos of the beast...

I sold mine and came back to MR2s. :) Lovely car the R33GTR, but after spunking £5K in 18 months on I know not what, I figured MR2s were cheaper and easier to run. :)

Ahh i remember you...the guy who use to have the funny avatar lol

Nice car...did you ever get round to test driving an R32 GTR? Every1 seems to go back to an MR2...other than the high running costs what made you come back?

I been thinking of going DC2 but cant decide.

Most people come back because other cars feel boring to drive after having an MR2 for a while.....

I must say... this is not true of the Skyline, the complete opposite in fact!

It's the £300 in fuel costs to get home and back to work every weekend that makes me want to change haha!

Fair point but i have had an R32 which is the lightest and nimblest of all the skylines and i found it boring......

Quite a lot of the skyline owners club have sold up their Skylines to buy MR2's or have offered swaps on here.

I wouldn't say they offer anything like the thrill of driving a 2 but thats just me i guess...... :thumleft:

Great little cars!!!! Fantastic engines and the handling is sublime!
I am also considering one of these as a track day toy!
