PS3 Cable,,, Optical to DM???

My mate has a PS3 which he wants to connect to a surround sound system, but the surround sound system only has DM input, and his PS3 is Optical

tos - co ax if it's a just a cheap surround it'll have a co ax. If it doesn't then it's not digital and is just prologic

not sure about sony's dm ports best ask on the av frums
