[Mk2] [Turbo] Replacing rev2 suspension

Post by mr2nut123 »

How much would it be to replace all the components of a suspension all round just for the parts themselves (no labour?) anyone replaced the lot lately and remember how much it all was by any chance?

I don't think any of the suspension has been changed it it's life since 93 and the car generally is starting to feel a bit sloppy although it was absolutely fine last year. Also getting a few low speed quiet metal clanging noises when going over very slight bumps.

Off the top of my head

start of with a poly bush set.

FRONT....

Lower suspension arm - no need to replace - bushes on subframe side will be in poly bush set.
Ball joints ~ 60 each
front tie bar (rev1 different from rev2+) Rev1's the bush can be replaced - rev2+ bush is integral and i suspect it would be a new tie bar.
Steering control arm - theres a ball jont on the rack end and a bush on the hub end. iirc ball joint is about 50 and hub end is about 70
ARB bushes (again should be part of poly bush set)
ARB drop links - ridiculous price from toyota - other options available
Shocks, spings
Top mounts

REAR....

lower suspension arm (as front)
ball joints ~60 each
trailing arm - integral bush - probably new arm
rear tie bar - integral bush - definately new arm ~80 quid each
rear hub (has a bush that is non-replacable) - new hub reqd. ~140 each
ARB and drop links as front
Shocks Springs
Top mounts ~90 each

4 wheel alignment most places charge for alterations, and everyting will need altering (although i've never been charged more than 70 quid)

appologies if i've forgotten anything
