Excellent pics Max some really candid shots of me there fitting sashs short shift , i didnt notice Malcs unusual air filter, it reminds me of those eyes that were on the end on those space ships in "War of the Worlds" that sort they used to look around the house they were hiding in . As for the twitchy ride you got after i left you... i can only put it down to my weight keeping it firmly planted on the road mate Jinxy

Thanks guys im just glad Sash & Max got home safely , i was only about 30 miles away when i got the call from Sasha & fortunately it was just before the M11 exit, James (F199 ) was following me, but didnt see me turn off, so had no idea where i was, i got a call from him about 10 mins later but he only lives up the road from me so knew his way home, so i shot down the M11 into London about another 10 miles, along the north cirular road for about another 5 miles, then back up the A13 towards them about another 15 miles until we got to them when i told Sash i was only 5 miles away she perkrd up a bit but the mileage is irrelevant, above all they are friends & i couldnt leave anyone in a situation like that no matter how far away i was, just glad i was around to help although the coffee & bowl of Travelodge chips went down a treat . I was like an expectant father waiting for the text to say they got home safely last night , Jinxy

Hey All,

Thanks to Clare, Barry and all at Elite for opening especially for us on Sunday for the meet.

Pictures - I've been sorting through mine this evening, but there are already lots of very good ones posted from mr2-k, Max - will be in touch to see if we can use some of these for a future MR2 Only magazine article

We had over 30 MR2s there on the day - and enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting a good number of new ones.

Of the photos I took, here's the Group Photo (stitched and photoshopped) of Us and the Folks from Elite hosting us:



And of their showroom facilities - they're very impressive



And alignment and wheel balancing rigs :



And outside, the's still lots going on - Tony admiring ( drooling over? ) a Mk1.5 conversion :



And work going on outside on cars - swapping hoses here :



They've also got a relationship with a local tuner who can do anything from engine builds to Suspension setup. They'd come down for the day and setup their corner weight scales - ideal for anyone with a fully adjustable setup looking to get it setup 100% with you in the driver's seat so that all four tyres are working to their maximum.




As part of that, we got to measure (accurate to 500g!) the weight of a Mk2 Turbo :


And My Roadster, with Turbo / Chargecooler and hard top - plus toolkit junk in the frunk and old tyres in the passenger seat (std weight is ~998kgs with a hardtop) so 50kgs over isn't bad



All in all a long, but really enjoyable day :

I can honestly say the past two days of driving since the new tyres and alignment have been the best by far since i've owned it. It can actually go round corners now

Out of all the thousands spent on this car, the 300 quid this weekend is easily the best money I've spent.
