new girl with my mr2

Post by kes_a »

hey guys.
had my mr2 for a while now but never really got into the hole scene associated with jap cars.
ive only got the mk2 rev1 non turbo but it still has a lil go in it lol.shocked my over half the other day in it.dont think he expected it to shift as quick as it did lol.dont no why he was suprised tho because he has a mk2 rev2 turbo lol.
anyway this is my beast lol
Image
cant see them in this pic but ive put 17"uras alloys onto it.
this is how she stands at the mo but i have loads of parts waiting to go on.
have the tein lowering springs, crystal front indicators and side lights.rev3 rear lights, single exit performance exaust etc...list gos on and on lol
just have to wait for jason at bok to get back so it can all be done.his also doing some desprate work thats needed to the engine.

Hi Kes,

Nice motor, couldn't leave yours standard either?

Had mine 8 years next week. \:D/ \:D/

And the best thing about a Rev1 N/A......no power steering, I hate it, and it's the fastest N/A off the line (shhh Beamers). Oh, but no ABS, no air bags and no SIPs, which is fine by me cause I'm not planning on crashing anyway.

Have fun with it

Marc
Everyone looks at me when I drive down the road now....... wish I could read minds.

Gota agree with all that's been said above and welcome to the club Kes. I've had my rev1 n/a for 8.5 yrs now and just got mods that actually make a difference to the drive. Still great off the line and now better still through the twisties. Get it lower, space the rears to give it better turn in, put a quickshift on and change the steering wheel to something you can boss it with. Lastly keep on top of the geometry. You'll never want to change, I don't.

Firstly, hi and welcome, nice to have a few more girlies in here, please feel free to talk about shopping and shoes, it annoys the chaps

Secondly, how short are you? I'm 5'1" and manage to cope with the clutch fine.... just curious :eye: Maybe there's something wrong with the clutch if you're having that much difficulty with it.

Get some better pics up of the car, interested to see these wheels.

You can adjust the clutch pedal behind the actual pedal itself, could bring the bite point up a bit so you don't have to push it all the way down. Or on one of your shopping and shoes conversations you could talk about some big soled shoes just for driving :D :thumleft:
