[Mk2] [Turbo] What spoilers and side skirts are these guys?

Post by .::Ant::. »

Hey guys,

I've bought a NA Gltd that's been in a smash so I'm breaking it to learn more about how everything fits together. It's got a few nice bits on it (rev3 lights, rev3 brakes).... and then there's this spoiler.

Not my personal preference, but I'm sure someone would want it. Does anyone know what make it is? It's been mentioned it might be a Rookie wing? But someone else has also said Toms.

Also there are these side skirts:

Any ideas as to the make?

And Finally:

This single exit exhaust exits on the driver's side? Bit of a long shot but does anyone have any idea what this might be?

Cheers all.

The spoiler is one I've seen before, but I can't put my finger on it.
The sideskirts and rear bumper look like TOM's
3.4ltr V6 Turbo. Built by Woodsport. Controlled by Syvecs, mapped by Ryan. 420bhp @ 0.7bar from 2400rpm

Thanks for the help guys, these parts have generated quite a bit of interest already and I hadn't even listed them. \:D/

I've been looking around trying to price up the spoiler, the bumper and the skirts but I can't seem to find any 2nd hand related prices. It's possible these are genuine Tom's parts as they were on the car before it was imported, are there any marques to look for when I strip them?

Any idea what these parts are worth? I've got a reasonable idea from researching, but the spoiler and bumper in particular at the moment are stumping me. (and I didn't come in on the last banana boat and won't be selling them for 50p   )

Just for those who have enquired so far, the rear bumper has a slight crack on the driver's side about 12cm long, and a smaller one about 3cm high, and a few scuffs where the previous owner looks as though they've backed into something, so the bumper will need some attn. at a body shop and probably a spray. Can't see any cracks or damage to the side skirts and spoiler.

I'll PM everyone who's PM'd me so far once I have a better idea on the price, in the order they PM'd me as there was a lot of interest.

Thanks again. :)

Exhaust looks like an Apexi of some description, does it not have a brand name stamped into the tailpipe?

Looks like an oval tailpipe and a half length box, and tip looks identical to the Apexi Megaphone, but that's a twin exit :-k

Got a square on rear shot low down?

Leeroy -

I'll have a look tomorrow and see If i can get a decent shot in the light m8. I haven't had a chance to go over the car fully as I only got it trailered over on Tues night and I've been at work ](*,) The exhaust has got two boxes on it when looking at it square on AFAIR.

Harry - Thanks :) Just remembered how much fun selling my last MK2 Turbo was, with one bloke offering me £500 over the phone and then getting offended and started insulting me when I wouldn't sell it to him, giving me the reasoning that "he was a trader" and I should give it to him cheap.

 ...What a numb nuts!!!...He had two hopes,Bob Hope and No Hope...PMSL...  I used to have a Rookie Racing Japan Aero Wing, they work very well and are designed higher and sit over the rear bumper further out and really does make a difference with stabilty at speed.Authentic product also lightweight but very strong. Not to every ones taste but 100% function over beauty.Oh Toms skirts en bumper

FWIW the above pic has MRD sideskirts and rear spats, and a Bomex front bumper, with the Rookie Racer wing.

Thanks for the help guys, just to let people know, I'm going to strip the spoiler and skirts (hopefully the bumper too this weekend). (spoiler and skirts seem to be in vgc, bumper is a bit tatty on the passenger side)

I'm then going to put up a for sale thread with some prices so keep your eyes peeled :)
