Im getting my suspension fitted at the end of the month, and double checking to make sure that there are no problems at all when the car is lowered 30mm?
Has anyone experienced any problems before?
ive got about 50 front and 45 rear the fronts catch the wings slightly when cornering hard 30mm should easily be fine. just make sure you have all your alignment done or it will be miles out.
Phhew! Thats fine then. Im having the whole works done after the suspension has been installed so alignment and everything should be fine. Picked up my bottom ball joints today for £80
Looking to fit these sometime this year too and was wondering -
Any issues with getting over the dreaded speed bumps when 30mm lower?
Hopeing its fine if driven slowly as have loads of these lovely speed bumps around me
My track 1a is down 35mm on PI springs has mudflaps on the front. They scrape on every speed bump in our area and if I don't slow enough on those single-middle-of-the-road-humps, my floor pan bottoms out as well...
mk1a lowered on apex springs, 15' wheels middle hump things are absolute nightmare scraping underside, speedbumps restrict approach speed to about 2mph.........
I found SC on lowered springs isn't as low as mk1a ???

Depends on the springs and the age of them really...
My car has been lowered by the previous owner, I don't have the detaills but I think it should be around 30 or 40 mm.
Still get over all speedbumps but some garages and parking lots are out of bounds.
Aye, you need the right sized bushes for them (£20) and the Camry/Carina droplinks (£18) but my new one i jus purchased is a 19mm job as opposed to the piddly Mk1 item.
Should do the job noicely. And i do mean noicely.

do they fit almost spot on then? how much stiffer are they?
I thought the N/A ARB's were the same as the Tubby's?
You'd want to look out for Rev2 upwards too
Although if you want to really do it properly, get a set of Whiteline ARB's specific to the AW11
i made my front drop links using m10 threaded bar and rose joints. still cost about £50 by the time id done though and that was with some trade discount.
