Re: HD-DVD is dead!
I couldnt stand the thought of standing in my room on my own waving my arms around like a tit.

I've only played bowling, tenis and golf.
Only liked Bowling of the three.
Of all the rest of the games available I'd say they all look like kids games.

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
Wii is a fun family entertainment machine nothing else the graffics are poor to the degree that a ps2 has better graffics and they are overly priced games consol

And they don't even play CD's

And PS3's are still region locked for normal DVD's

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
i saw some official software you could get for the wii so that you could convert films and put them on a memory card to be played.

Even if they were relatively cheap, don't go for them.

So, best bet at the moment is to stick with a PS3

Not sure what it stands for but it's basically the Blu-Ray firmware version.

BD 2.0 is also known as BD Live.

Oh here's a funny one for you chaps.

Ya know I said you cant get Transformers on Blu Ray?

It's on Xbox Live in HD to download

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
If it's availabe to download, then it can be burned onto Blu-rayor transferred to a PS3 HDD

Saw Blu-Ray PC burners for 250 euro
- only about
£180
!

And Ps3 backups seem to be easy enough

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
You cant download films on xbox live and then copy them.

Dosnt matter though, they're only cheap and I'll more than likely only watch it once.
I've already seen it 4 times in SD

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
It'd make sense for Paramount to go to Blu-Ray sooner rather than later
?
They can release Transformers on HD-DVD and also Blu-Ray.

Paramount are doing Iron Man as well
- I definitely want to get that on blu-Ray

Rob

Re: HD-DVD is dead!
Yeah, they were originally with both formats and then about 5 months ago went HD-DVD exclusive
!

Whoever in Paramount made that decision is going to be taken off a few Christmas card lists
!

But, they do have some get-out clause
- not sure of the details but am sure it will help Toshiba with some
$$$ when they have to shut-down their HD-DVD plants
(or convert them to Blu-Ray
- as of now, they say they have no plans to move to Blu-Ray
- am sure they will eventually)
