MK2 Rev 3 3.0 V6 Conversion

I'm reluctantly selling my car due to changing work commitments and the prospect of another stint working overseas looming in the very near future!

It started life as a 'P' registered UK Rev 3 N/A and after two owners found it's way to me. After three years of happy hassle free motoring I decided to have the V6 conversion done at Rogue Motorsport. The conversion was completed just under twelve months ago and the car has since done approximately 7000 miles.

The following is a brief specification:

3VZ-FE Engine with N/A gearbox containing TRD LSD (Engine topped and tailed with new cambelt and clutch fitted)

Link G3 ECU

Blueflame turbo exhaust

Custom induction system with large K&N air filter

Magnecor ignition leads

Turbo engine lid with 'Revision 6' fan kit (Controlled by the ECU)

Tein lowering springs and TRD top mounts

Recaro reclining bucket seats (From late spec Turbo)

Sony CDX M9900 head unit

Standard alloys with Dunlop Sport SP9000 tyres in very good condition

12 months MOT

6 months tax

As you will see from the pictures i'm not a fan of exterior mods so the car looks pretty much standard. However the way it goes is nowhere near standard!! With the V6/LSD combination it is great fun to drive and it sounds fantastic. I have a dyno print out and on a Mustang dyno it made 161bhp and 164lb/ft at the wheels. There are a few marks on the bodywork and a split in the front lip spoiler but otherwise a very clean example. It costs the same to tax as a normal 2 litre and costs me about £500 a year to insure with all mods declared.

The car has been serviced by Rogue since I bought it and hasn't failed an MOT whilst I have owned it. I have just had a thorough service completed by them which included some ECU updates, oil and filter change, plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm and a good check over.









I am asking £5000 ono. I am keen to get her sold quickly as i'm only off work for another couple of weeks. I have had some interest already with one chap looking at buying it to have the engine, gearbox and goodies put in his MK2 then his old engine into my car for sale as a 2ltr to recoup some of the cost which I thought was a good idea if you already have a good chassis but fancy the engine.

I am currently looking into getting one of these... but am down the Antarctic for another 2 weeks and need to sell my Skyline GT-R first.
How long are you still around until you NEED to sell?

Also, what was the mileage on the car before the conversion?

One quick one, the power and torque figures seem slightly low from what I would of expected, I realise they are at the wheel figures, but does the performance comapre to that of a standard tubby?

Nice 2 there !!

My rear wheel BHP figure was 156, so not down on power at all, although my torque was around 170 f/lb.

The car was at 131000 miles when the conversion was completed. I bought it at 88000 four years ago.

I have never owned a turbo but I have had turbo owners tell me it will keep up with a stock rev 3 Tubby. It just delivers the power differently. One of the reasons I went for an N/A box with a diff was to get the best possible acceleration.

On the current plan I am on leave until 3rd March and I want to get the sale completed before then if at all possible.

The vehicle is no longer for sale. I have decided to keep her and maybe turn her into a race car once I have found myself a mileage dog!
