My monster :(

Post by Spacey »

Anyone who knows or has met me will know that I've spared no expense on this car. I'm not the kind of guy to try and save a few ££ if it meant any risk to the car and I think that should come across from the spec and the quality of some of the other bits I'm selling (clicky).

James at 3S and the guys at Perfect touch can vouch for this car. Even on a run in map it's always egging you on to go quicker. It's so responsive to the smallest throttle change. This was the goal when building the engine, not just out right power, but response, which is why the engine may seem a little over engineered for the 400bhp+ goal we had. Everything had to be light weight. Having said that we would expect to see figures in the 420+ area when dyno'd.

I'm gutted to be letting it go. After all the effort, time and masses of cash that both James and I have had to invest, after the mere of dodgy piston rings, the engine has finally come together and is a gem. The car really feels like what I intended all that time ago.

The only real bad point is that the body work is average. The car is 3E5 (Super red 2) so needs a fair amount of polishing to stop it going pink but it does come up a treat. The o/s front wing needs replacing. I was hit at about 10mph by some old guy who didn't understand what a stop sign was for  The damage isn't bad enough to notice most of the time but there's a dent in the wing about the size of a cricket ball right in front of the wheel. I had a replacement wing lined up for £35 but the breaker doesn't seem to be replying to my PMs. Basically you should be able to sort this for less than £50. Other than that there are some scrapes on the rear bumper but overall it's in good nick for it's age and I've seen loads that are far worse. Hopefully the pics will help sell it.

Just to note I don't have a pic of it with the rev3 rear lights but suffice to say that with them, the fat rear wheels and HKS Hiper the back of the car looks low and wide

Only thing you need to be aware of is the GT3071 I was supplied is faulty and is currently going through a (very lengthy) replacement process so at the time of writing there is no turbo on the car. As such the car is offered at 2 prices:

For £6500 I will buy and have installed another GT3071 turbo. When mine then arrives back I'll just sell it on again.

or

For £6000 you can take the car as is but you will need to buy a GT series turbo from Tim. Not the whole kit just the turbo itself.

Either is an absolute bargain for this car and I can't stress how annoyed I am to have to sell it but it needs to go so I can buy a new house.

I don't want to sell it to just anyone. It needs to go to someone who will have it and map it properly and push it hard. This is what it was built for.

The crash damage. All the rubber etc has been cleaned up sp other than the dent the front of the car is fine. Trust me it doesn't look anything like this bad when you see it for real:

Very unhappy Chris

Just had the word from Tim. New turbo is on the way.

£6000 and all you have to do is finish the run in, remap and you've got 400+bhp to play with

Well ladies and gents. Now that Christmas and new year are finished and out of the way and things are starting to settle down a bit I'm putting the car back up for sale.

The new turbo is almost on and I'll try and get down to 3S to get some up to date pics.

There's been loads of people asking about it over the winter with 2 guys actually coming close to taking it away but largely most questions have been from 17 year olds telling me they can get MR2s for £900

This is a very serious car and very quick!
