[Mk2] [Turbo] ECU codes 42 43 (Urgent stuck)

Ok jumped into the car to go home from work, engine mangement light came on flashing codes 43 and 42. It just backfires and spluters when trying to accelerate. Now my speedo is not working so i think that it might have something to so with that. Also the battery is on its last legs would this becausing a problem not enough volts.

I no what the codes are as i have a full listing off them here. Just need no what is causing them. Is it the speedo affecting the car.

See i removed alot off parts in the front off the car to replace all off the copper brake lines for MOT. Sense doing that the speedo has not worked, so must off missed connecting something and the car is messin around on me.

well my speedo didnt work for months on my rev1 and hasnt worked on my rev3 for over a week, and i have not had any problems with the car so i wud rule speedo out as a cause if it was me.

If it helps, speedo in Rev1 is cable driven, speedo in Rev2+ is electric.

I am having similar problem

My speedo broke on my turbo mk2 rev 1 now when i seem to go for more than 15 miles the engine managment light comes on, the light must be relavent tothe speedo not working!
