Very Tidy Mk1B MR2 For Sale!

Post by LTM »

It pains me to do this however it’s got to go. Unfortunately.
Bought it through an advert on the owners site, mainly to drive to work during the week with the occasional blast on the weekend. However due to us having a nipper it is starting to dawn on me that I need a 4 seater again(boo!, hiss!) :(
Truth is I didn’t realise kids got any bigger! & combined with the fact the child seat
takes up so much room its already getting awkward to get him in.
Believe me when i say that if there was a way i could keep this car whilst buying another i would, however my pockets aren't that deep at the mo.

So:

FOR SALE
TOYOTA MR2
AW11
TWIN CAM 16

T-BAR ROOF
(BAGS & INSERT PANELS INCLUDED)
120K WITH HISTORY TO PROVE
(OLD MOTS, SERVICE BOOK ETC)
PERFECT CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT
WAXOILED
RECENT CAMBELT CHANGE
RECENT NEW FRONT TYRES
NEW GEAR GAITER (GENUINE TOYOTA)
NEW K&N REPLACEMENT FILTER
PERFECT DRIVE
TAX 5 months
MOT 12 months

Condition:
it's worth noting that i myself am very fussy when it comes to cars & have never paid good money for a heap. when i first saw this car my impression was good & this continued as i looked over the car in more detail.
Its clean, straight, original & everything works as it should. its been obviously well cared for in the past which i have continued. Body is near perfect .It's garged every night. It has been waxoiled.
Drive:
Faultless. this is my second AW11 (the first was a real beater) feels very solid by comparison to the first. Doesn’t feel like a 20 year old car at all.
Engine revs smooth & sounds like new. Pulls strong in every gear.
Gear box is precise with good feel to the change, no crunching or popping out of gear.

Negeative points: (being fussy, but better to disclose all)
The roof let the odd drop of water in when the weather got really cold (seals contracted) which was remedied by applying a smidge of vasoline to the corners, after which it completely stopped.
Smallest patch of surface rust on the underside of the rear wheel arch (the size of a couple of 5p pieces) nothing of real concern & could be sorted in a couple of hours on a Saturday morning which I will do myself when the weather gets better. – its not visible on the bodywork itself.

Think that’s everything, I have tried to be as honest as I can, however please feel free to ask any further questions

£2100 ono

These are the most recent pics i have (from my mobile)
will try to get more (if anyone wants to see anything specific then please say)

More can be found here of when i first got it (it hasn't changed since)

Indeed, there have been some lower mileage examples on here in a similar condition for less and not selling.

LTM - Adding your location to your profile might help.

I too have a rust bucket, but it's MOT'd until November, so should see me through the summer...

Agreed the prices seem to vary greatly. :? Just seems a shame to sell for less than its worth.
Would be open to a sensible offer of course. :)
I'm in North Devon if anyone wants a look.

I can't view the link to more pics. When I click on it I get asked for username and password.
Can you add more pics to this thread?
