Just a cheeky bump really, but also wanted to say that ive been to Skye many times in the last 25 years & i never tire of it, its got to be one of the prettiest islands in the whole of Scotland & for those that havnt been, BOY are you in for a treat cant wait for this one... but i'll get over Le Mans first.... cant wait for that either , Jinxy

I'm not sure if I'm here (on an offshore rota) but 50% chance I'm not working.

Would it be possible to put me on a reserve list of some sort? I'd be camping so wouldn't need to make any accomadation arrangements, and if someone is more definite than myself I'm quite happy to bow out if need be. Nature of my job I suppose

Really looking forward to this, went last in June when it was just a little too busy with slow camper vans and tourists (damn them!! ), in september it will be a lot quieter on the roads. With the way last few years have gone we have a much better chance of dry weather in September than in the Summer too

Yes, I'm finally back for a bit!
And no, the Mk1 still isn't back on the road yet!!!

Anyhoo... I've just gone and booked my room at the Travelodge. (thanks for the nudge Shane! )

Sasha and I will be staying at the Inverness Fairways - along with Pete and Reema. It's 2.2 miles away, but is currently £29 per room per night, as opposed to £70 per room per night at the main Inverness one. So, just a tiny, weeny saving that I think the taxi fare may just come under...

Currently also looking at the possibility of breaking up the trip North and South before and after the weekend too, to make the most of actually being on holiday for once!!!

Some sad news, James may not be able to attend this run, the Engine on his work van has disintegrated & now has to sell the MK1 to pay for it , he has said that if he can get another MK1 before september he will try & make the trip even if it means he has to organise everything for himself, so for the moment i would remove his name from the list Shane just in case someone else fancies stepping in, cheers, Jinxy

Hi all

Are we all now sorted out with the accomodation in Inverness. I think we are.

I am intending doing a wee run up to skye when the weather gets a bit better.

Just need to arrange some lunch stops and pee stops etc and time the runs
