The Imoc-UK logo is the OLD one circa 1999 (When I drew those dials)

The tread pattern on the Tacho is from the USA original IMOC logo.

I like them 8) . They're different and that's what it's all about. If we were all the same it'd be boring.

If you want colourful, don't look any further than a set of the plasma dials! I fookin love em :thumleft:

I got a mate who has a vinyl cutting biz to knock me up a lil trd logo to personalise them a bit 8)

I just wish I could get the EL on my turbo timer (thing sat in front of the clocks) working now :-k It comes on every now an again but I can't figure out which wire into the unit is the EL's power ](*,)

Cheap too! If you buy a set (or any set of the dials for that matter) and want the TRD logo (or any logo) putting on them then you could get them posted to my mate (BK DESIGNS) and he'd be able to make, cut, and put the decal on the dials in the specified location for a small fee I expect.

PM me your email address and I'll email over the Imoc Dial template...
They were hosted on Imoc a few years ago before the forum was moved / re-created.

Just tell me if you need the:
140Mph - UK Coupe
160Mph - UK
110Mph - Japanese 180Km/h clock without a speedo converter
180Mph - Japanese 180Km/h clock with a speedo converter

i took the black covers off, So now they all light up but you can see some workings of the clocks so turned the dimmer down a bit but i am fitting red leds at the front of the clocks so insted of back lite they will be front lit and think that will look better

I will get a pic tonight as they are so you can see

I am working on a custom set using the image Paul sent me, however, I am concerned that the segments won't be very well lit at night. I am thinking of cutting the major ones out, after all in the daytime they will still look black, but at night they will let the light show through from behind.
Any thoughts?

OK, here is what I have done so far:

Image

Likes, dislikes flame/hatemail, proposals for marrage etc? :)
These are not finished yet, still not sure if I am going to keep the waves in the background...
Also, do I need to keep the KPH section of the speedo? Just seems to get in the way and look fussy to me...

That's really nice as it goes....
Top effort!

By the way, I've emailed all the other dial types over to Ben Formesyn who will be hosting them up on IMOC in the coming week

Yes... that looks familiar...

The toyota illumination system was never designed to illuminate an entire dial face evenly.

Even the 'numbers and divisions' on the rear of the OEM dials needed a pattern print on the rear to even out the light.

There is little that can be done to improve it I'm afraid...

If you are skilled with a scalpel, you could always make cut-outs and just paint the rear black to prevent the whole face illuminating.
