MR2 MK2 REV5 2000

Actually for sale now

Hi all

Reason for sale -
I need to sell my MR2 N/A because I want to buy a TURBO!!!

History -
I bought this car last Feb for £6200 in mint condition I did pay a little over the normal but it was worth it for the condition it was in.

The car -
Its a MR2 MK2 REV 5 GT 2000 (W) Sonic Shadow 64k on clock
Standard Throughout
Only mods are MP3 Stereo (old stereo will be included).
This car is washed once sometimes twice a week and polished and detailed monthly.
Plus it has a large sunroof which can be stored under the bonnet.
Comes with FULL service history MOT till Feb 08, and Tax till Feb 08.

The car is mint inside and out, interior is immaculate.
Single bad point, front far side there is a slight dent in the arch, a horrible surprise on return from a shopping trip(car park!) See picture.

I would be asking for £5400

But open to offers

Few recent pictures (taken today)

being realistic here and purely as what i see n/as going for i reckon you will be hard pushed to get a price reflecting what your car is and its condition .Could be worth having a conversion done. Just my thoughts mind and good luck whatever.

looks a nice tidy car. Have you thought about putting a rev 3 turbo lump in. That way you get a newer car you know with the power you like. Good luck with what you choose. :thumleft:

Peterc - Cheers for the word of advise mate, i am puttin in high and taking it from there really, dont need a ''now'' sale so can take my time.

Afennell - The though has crossed my mind but then i would have to blow £2500 out right for the Turbo lump and fitting. Where i could sell my car buy a similar priced car...hopefully saving me the £2500 payout. Thanks though

Id go with a turbo lump. You can get an install for less than 2.5k easy if you are smart. Plus you have a rev5 chassis so newer brakes and shocks etc less likely to need replacing.

I understand where you're coming from though. But, smart shopping will get you a Rev 4 setup for around 1500 quid and about 750 quid to get it all fitted.

If I was in your shoes, I'd convert my current car. After all, it really is better the devil you know for this kind of thing - another car could be a series of problems.
3.4ltr V6 Turbo. Built by Woodsport. Controlled by Syvecs, mapped by Ryan. 420bhp @ 0.7bar from 2400rpm

I can understand just wanting a change sometimes. Pos change of colour or changing to a t –bar, plus the hassle of having the engine transplant and been without a car for a bit. You could still sell your old engine to save some money.
