Gauging interest, Caribbean Blue Rev 3 T-Bar n/a

Post by GhostWKD »

Bought from a member here last August, it was initially bought as a year long stop gap before getting a turbo mr2, however since then my long distance relationship has ended and i find myself not needing the car nearly as much, and as such i have decided to bite the bullet and go for the MR2 Turbo i wanted initially (wanting to go for the n/a as a first rwd car though).

As such it will shortly be up for sale :(

Anyway she's a Rev 3 1995 (M) n/a MR2 in Caribbean blue :)

Think (will double check) is on about 108,000 miles, but feels like its not even done half that.
MOT'd until end of July 2008
Taxed until end of either March or April 2008 - will confirm

Since owning the MR2 i've had the battery replaced (most recently), the clutch replaced by a reputable local garage with a toyota item, dizzy cap, rotor arm, spark plugs (with the correct irridium replacements) along with an oil change done by myself 2 months or so ago.

Spec wise it is the T-Bar with leather interior and comes complete with T-Bar blinds and bags :)

It has a few nice touches for modifications, namely;
KYB Adjustable suspension
Tein Strut Brace
Momo Style Steering Wheel and Boss
Aftermarket (momo?) Gearknob and gaitor
Blueflame Exhaust
Pipercross induction kit
Clifford Cat 1 alarm + Immob
Clear side repeaters and Clear front clusters
Bomex front splitter
Kenwood (i think) MP3 CD player
Alpine speakers
EL Dials
Turbo bootliner and floor mats

When i bought the car it had recently had:
New radiator
Re-Oiled induction kit
New alternator and battery.
New cat.

Obviously that was pre-august, but still quite alot of money spent to ensure nothing else will go wrong :)

Bad points are as follows:
Currently aerial-less. Was removed as i dont listen to the radio and a new mast was requred. Motor is included but needs a new mast to work.
Few chips and scratches but only minor, however there is a small amount of laquer peel by the aerial exit on the rear 3/4 panel. However easily sorted so im told? also a small amount of rust on one of the rear arches, but have been told this is not too major to sort out.
O/s drivers foglight has a hole in it, very simple to set straight though.
Also has usual bolster wear on drivers seat unfortunately.
Finally the alarm very very occasionally gets confused with the Toyota alarm, and the key will need to be used. It is very very rare that it does this though.

Dont let these points put you off though as other than this the car is extremely tidy, and with my honesty about all of the bad points of the car there wont be any surprises to be found on inspection of the car.

As stated i'm waiting for the bodywork to be tidied up before the car will be open for people to come to view, which gives me a chance to decide to hold on to this little gem, but i think its fate has been decided

Looking for £2,500 ovno. Could be persuaded by some kind of deal with a rev1/2 turbo however. (though would have to involve some cash my way as some of the insurance costs are coming out of the funds released by selling the n/a)

Any other points you would like clarified please do let me know.

Cheers,
Alex

Also just to add will have new pics sorted asap as well as up close of the bodywork niggles :)
