I've always driven japanese and korean cars so indicators don't bother me.

I do see what you're saying about the angle of the windows. Not too bad from the front but from the back it looks a little off. Nothing that'd bug me though

Oddly I prefer indicators on that side :-k I think the MKII could have done with a more pointy/sticky up ar$e like the Ferrari 360 or 355

Hmm...

Must admit, I kinda like the idea of removing the batmobile spoiler from the back of an Mk2 but whenever I see one without a spoiler I always think it looks kinda wrong, like a dog with its tail tucked between its legs.

Somebody needs to come up with a nice tidy lip spoiler for the Mk2 that'd stop the back end looking so rounded.

Yeah that was kind of what i meant, its to flat then round, it needs a ducktail type rise + a spoiler I think

Mk 2 design improvements?

Until I have mine, I'll withhold some comments, but...

Get rid of the rounded bum. It looks almost French.
Some sort of stability control on the first model, so it didn't get the bad press.
Real driving lights in addition to foglights.
Less relentless black in the interior, at least as an option.

I'm with the "indicators on the right" camp here - not just from imports. When I were a lad, BRITISH cars had them there too, my Chevette did, my Allegro... it makes more sense from a driving comfort point of view. I rarely need to change gear and wash my windscree at the same time - I quite often change and signal. The Delica has them there, as an import, and so does the MX5.

RX8s don't in the UK, but do in Japan, which is bizarre - why make a different stalk! Is it for EU regulations?

The main reason I don't lust after an MR2 Spider is that the lack of spoilers on them makes them look worryingly like a 304 Cabriolet.

Kammback ftw. Give it a tail like a late 80s Alfa Spider!

How about some rubber covers or something thatcover the gap in the steering column cover for the indicator/wiper stalks.
A side window vent(for de-misting) on the driverside (like the passenger side one.)
Heated mirrors (do UK spec come with these?)

4 Wheel drive!

and cheaper parts prices!!!

I was gonna refrain from it but seen as someone else has already mentioned it I would love to drive a 4wd version turbo obviously. I know it kinda takes away half the reason MR2's are known for but just having that bit more confidence (for amateur drivers like me lol)in the car and that traction of the line then this would be a monster but then maybe the car would be a lot more to buy in the first place. Or switchable version were you can have full time 4WD or switch more of the power to the back if you wish for those tailhappy moments like they did on the Mazda 323 4WD Turbo.

Good point and seats set on rails right on the floor.Sort of a lower profile seat to allow more head room for the 6 ft 4. :oldtongue:

An access panel inside ,allowing easy replacement of the fuel pump.

Stainless steel foglight screws.

Radiator protector mesh,factory fitted.

A graduated boost gauge that works.

The indicators are on the correct side for a RHD car. Back in the old days indicators from UK manufacturers were in fact on the right. Its only because when the euro manufacturers started selling cars in the UK, they didn't bother to change the stalks around, so we ended up with indicators on the left. Now for some daft reason it seems to be accepted that this is how we want it.

I'd totally agree with all MK3 comments but seeing as I can't fit in one, they are crap! :P
