hi
i don't know nothing about theses at all just seen a small pic

was just wondering do they bolt to the side intake?

if so what do you use to protect the element?

e.g. k&n filter cleaner (oil protection from water)?

Sorry never used them before it's good to learn

great help peeps,many thanks :thumleft:
spolit for choice :D

Im not sure on how it fits yet untill i offer it into position, but i saw someone on here fit something similar , then blank the area off with some ally sheeting to stop heat ingress from the engine,so im thinking of doing the same.
Needs a bit of tlc,but should be ok.

You got a bargain for £20 mate. No need to box this kit in. You can modify the brackets just by twisting them to get it pointing directly into the side inlet.

Sumo Power supply the genuine ARC filter. It's pricey though.

Jamitsi,
yeah it does, like a little bit of ally corrosion bout 3 inches long,
nothing that cant be sorted though.
Think the seller was "moody",
er.....thats his ebay name,not his nature :D .
(ive left the rest of his title off because of obvious reasons).

Yes, thats him, he was a nice guy,
he never had a MR2 at the time of buying it.
and decided he wanted a rev 3
and as this ARC is for rev 1/2. i guess he just got rid.
Bargin price you got it for.
he paid over £100.

this was my original post

I have established that the Arc filter required for the Arc Induction box is a Type B dimensions 275x260mm.

The K&N 33-2017 unit is 276x260x30mm and is the one used for the Mazda RX-7 1996. Blitz also do the LM Power SUS filter for the Mazda RX-7.

Anyone using either of these alternatives? What price did you get them for and where from? Thanks.

Edit- just been looking at Pipercross also and can get these at Evolution R at Peterlee.

I've also just picked up an arc box off ebay  Just ordered a K&N 33-2017 from www.ybfilters.co.uk. Its not in stock tho, i should have it by the middle of next week. £55 delivered.

edit: tried to get it from my local hellfrauds- wanted to give them the P/n but they said they needed the car model, so went through the whole mazda... rx7.. twin turbo.. 1993... etc "Oh no sir we dont have anything listed for that car" ME: "But i have the p/n right here, cant you search on that" "Oh well its probably not a UK p/n"

£37 from Edworthys.co.uk
You'll need to search for SKU 134993.

Should be here. They reckon 2-4 days.

K&N, Green, ITG etc were all around £50-55 and as these filters are all comparable it was decided on price.
