Crackly noise

Post by dawolf »

Since fitting my new MP3 player I have found the quality to be very good until I put the volume up high (above 25). The speakers seem to make a crackly, distorted kind of sound. Is it because they are standard and not capable of a high powered headunit or could it be a wiring issue?

Most probably, I have upgraded my fronts to Macaudio 100watt types and they dont like being loud unless you have them amplified seperately. Ideally a sub would do. :?

A headunit can never supply a clean enough signal when the volume is increased, My friend has standard speakers in his car and when he run the from a seperate amplifier there was a noticible difference in the quality and power handling

Hmm, I thought the MR2 had it's own built-in amplifier anyway :-k .

Assumed you were just running them off the headunit, I never used any of the original system so I can only guess really
