Red Rev 3 Turbo for sale!!!!!!!! Reduced Again!!

Post by Dave81 »

Hi all.......to cut a long story short!
My Work has decided to move.......Closer to where i live!!!! :)
So........... I've got the opportunity to buy one of my dream cars and as such need the space in the garage and the money. I've dropped all the info on pistonheads and can be found here...

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/325703.htm

The car has been an absolute dream to own and never once caused me problems. The car does'nt smoke or have a drinking problem! If your after an excellent condition, near standard, mechanically mint Rev 3 Turbo than i believe this is the best around!!!!!

It will be a sad day when it goes but a dream is a dream and if i don't do it now i'll possibly never get the opportunity again!

Beg to differ on the financial suicide of the cerb! 4.5 AGP engine! bullet proof, although except for 150mph+ cant pull on a 330bhp+ MR2!! sounds mint though............... :thumleft:

Ok maybe a bit strong calling it Financial Suicide. But its well documented that the AGP engine is a lot more expensive than the RV8 (RV8 sounds better too imo).

Most owners recon you should have at least £3k put aside for the AGP too......... :pale:

I have seen some of the new tvr engines with large head re-build bills.

the v8 is tried and tested, also easy to work on.
Have run and don't blame you, it's going to be hard to turn the engine off when you park up.

C'mon man a 2 litre MR2 take on a 4.5 litre beast, I don't know, I hear this a lot about MR2 Turbo's and don't get me wrong I am an MR2 fan looking to get myself a turbo but I can't believe the claims a lot of MR2 owners make. How can the MR2 really put all that power down being a rear wheel drive car, I know they did it with the porsche but not the humble MR2. I want to see some hardcore evidence. I believe you can tune the engine to some insane BHP but how can it put it all down, I read reviews where even stock the rear wheels start spinning.

They put it down in a straight line no problem at all (we have lots of 10 second cars now). The tricky bit is controlling the car on the limit of grip.

the humble mr2's run in the 4x4 class in japan due to how well they can get the power down in a straight line :thumleft:

had him in 1st and 2nd many times, 3rd onwards whooosh he's gone, but by that time ive pulled in front of him hehe

very evenly matched cars off the line, mr2 has the weight over the rear which helps a lot

i agree here, my mr2 isnt mega powerfull, probs about 270 bhp but i have beaten a 320 bhp scooby and a few local evo lads cant keep up. it seems to be the weight advantage. handeling is scary when the horns come out though lol
