Really, just renewed and I didn’t pay that! You also don’t have to pay for all downloads, quite a lot is actually free.

the video store is a joke, the arcade games are over priced.

Don’t buy them then! At the end of the day they wouldn’t be priced like that if people didn’t actually pay the money. Not exactly a reason why X is any better than Y.

its full of lag even on a 16 and 20meg connection with OPEN settings.

Probably due to the massive user base all playing lots of online games. Quite a different to the relatively small numbers on the PSN playing very very few truly online games!

it has private chat with 1 other person yay...

Um I use a console to play games, not chat!?

the classic games are cheap as hell £3.50 is the most expensive you'll find the store games are well worth the £5

So why didn’t sony make the PS3 backwards compatible rather than making you pay 3.50 for a game you probably already own in PS2 format. I believe the 360 will play a vast majority of the XB back catalogue!

Wooo, it seems this is the only game you PS3 guys have to play online? Looks a bit basic to me. Lets face it its not a game though in the true sense, its 100% multiplayer with no single person campaign so pointless if you don’t have the internet, don’t want to play others?

I have to confess, I'm a bit of a newbie to Xbox live, had the consol for the best part of a year and never really used it.

Now Im hooked and it doesnt bloody work.

yes u can send invites cross game.
the ps3 IS backwards compatible with BOTH ps1 and ps2 games.
private chat is a usefull feature me and my friends use it every day
the 360 plays around 300 of the xbox 1 titles with backwards compatability. the ps3 plays all ps1 and ps2 games known to date
so your telling me that you play all of your games online every day or week?
if so then why is the 360 swap thread full of all the 360's "great" games lol
so its 100% multiplayer doesnt make it a full game? so a game such as jericho isnt a full game because its 100% single player?
no body said a game had to have single player take wolrd of war craft, battle field 2 and counter strike example. all are 100% online play and they are quite possibly the biggest pc games on the market

the 360 swap shop thread is full cos we have so many good games to choose from and personally too smaller pockets to buy them all.

Compare the same game on the 360 to the PS3....looks better on the 360, cheaper on the 360 and released sooner on the 360.

Not true mate. Half-life looks better on the 360.

Every major gaming site has done the same comparison and the 360 has come out on top on every comparison. There's static trees in RR7 PS3 version, in comparison to the moving ones on the xbox 360. In addition Fight Night 3 the 360 version look much better.

Call of Duty 3 & Tony Hawk 8, PS3 framerates chugging along, while the 360 version is much smoother. You will see the same thing when FEAR is realased on the PS3 soon. Apprently its terrible, bad lighting effects and really bad frame rate.

Why, when the PS3, which has had at least 6 EXTRA MONTHS OF DEVELOPMENT, still end up looking worse than it's 360 cousin?

because the games are PORTs of the 360 version.
games that were made for both consoles are fine, games made for the one console its self look fine. its ports that look poo.
and as far as i no theres no ridge racer 7 for 360 only ridge racer 6?

to be honest im not trying to be. jus discussing which console i like but i get in enough arguments so i jus accept it lol.

ive never said the PS3 didnt have potential i jus think at this point the 360 is the better console and i jus have to keep saying it cos these threads keep popping up.

sony seemed to enjoy riding the number 1 spot a bit too much and lost its way for a little while and now its taking em a while to get it bak on track and it seems to of cost em a lot.
