1993 'L' reg MK2 Rev 2 GT-S T-Bar

Post by meridian9 »

For sale. It's been my pride and joy for the last 8/9 months, but its no longer practical for me. I've done loads of work to this car since I've had it.

It's a Japanese model, which was imported into this country in 2004. It failed its MOT in November on a reg plate BULB lol, with advisories on the nearside rear wheel bearing (since been replaced), and CV boots are slighty perished.

Engine
---------------------------
o Only done 70K - cam belt was changed when second-to-last owner bought the car at approx 40K
o Blitz style SUS filter
o GTSchris decat downpipe
o Blue Flame exhaust
o New battery (in January)
o New altenator (in January)
o HKS Boost guage
o New Turbo 3 years ago (previous owner told me it had been replaced before coming to this country)

Electrics
---------------------------
o HKS turbo Timer
o New spark plugs (NGK BKR6EP-8 Platinum Plugs)
o New HT Leads
o New Distributor Cap + Rotor
o Professionally installed Toad Ai606 Thatcham Cat1 Alarm/Immobilisor
o Lazy Eye Kit
o Infinity 3" speakers in back
o Kenwood 6" speakers in front
o Rear foglight conversion - recently tinted to comply with MOT testing policies

Suspension/chassis/Brakes
---------------------------
o Lowered 35mm (according to previous owner)
o Fully adjustable dampers (KYB shocks)
o Cusco Front strut brace
o New droplinks all around
o New rear wheel bearing (in October/November)
o New front brake pads (in May)
o New read brake pads (in November)

Wheels/tyres
---------------------------
o UltraLites 16x8`s
o 4 decent brand tires, with plenty of tred left

Bodywork
---------------------------
o Black
o Bomex replica side skirts
o Crystal corners
o Raybrig head lights (fitted with CIBIE relays and looms for high powered lamps)

Other
---------------------------
o Original 'Dandism' floor mats
o Repaired aircon compressor
o New T-Bar seals (doesn't leak any more!)
o 330mm MOMO steering wheel
o Replacement AFM
o Has had oil changes (fully synthetic oil - I think) every 4 months
o Has had timing corrected (was running at 5o BTDC i seem to recall)
o Maintains full boost
o No white/blue smoke
o HKS Fuel Cut Defender
o Xenon White Dash LEDs
o 6 months TAX (since beginning of November)
o 12 months MOT (since beginning of November)
o 2 Keys
o 2 Alarm fobs
o V5C
o Has been run on Shell V Power without exception. Previous owner had informed me that he also run it on Shell V Power.
o Never failed to start - has all started on first turn of key
o Never broken down

Bad points
---------------------------
o 2nd gear is a bit stiff
o Clutch is starting to slip, but still very drivable, if not thrashed lol
o Bomex Side skirts could do with being removed and refitted - as previously fitted slightly too far forward by a previous owner.

I will post some images tonight, but I will clean her and then post those when I get a moment lol. I realise that the clutch can be expensive to have done. I've priced up at my local garage, who want £500 (which I believe is expensive) to do it...

So...

£2800 ono.

I think she's worth more, but then again, I would lol.

I hope this goes to a good home, she's amazing fun to drive!

Think you'll find you stand more of a chance, if you actually let people see what you're selling mate.

Just my 2c though...

All the best with the sale.

EarL.

is nobody interested? I've spent loads of money on this car in the last year... apart from the clutch needing doing *eventually* this is a steal I think!

Chrimbo is always a bad time to be selling a car. you've got yourself a nice looking car there too. Shame it's out my price range, otherwise I'd have it off ya :D

Well I'm trying to sell/swap my Corrado as I just don't like it. I've only owned it for 2 weeks & in that time I thought it would have grown on me, but it just hasn't :? Veedub old skool isn't for me

I guess I just love my Jap cars :D 8) My car previous to the Corrado was an ST205GT4

I paid 1650 for the Corrado, so thats my kinda budget, give or take a few hundred either way, so well bellow what you're asking for your MR2. I do have the cash in my pocket to buy a MR2, but I dont really want to have two cars in the driveway, one of which may or may not sell :? .

Tis a nice car you have there though 8)
