Yeah but some cars are so rare and expensive that a kit is the only option.
Besides a some of the modifications done to these mr2's they are no longer stock they are basically kits anyway with a manufactures badge.
Some of the bodykits are ridiculous and change the appearance of the mr2 anyway.
I understand the stupidty of trying to pass an mr2 of as Ferrari or Anything else for that matter but that aside I think the kit enhances the look of the car yeah a bit pricey but that front is fantastic.
Aesthetically its probably the perfection of bodykitting an Mr2.
What if a person were to leave all MR2 badges on, and be proud that it was a Toyota would you still ridicule him.
Some people spend astronomical amounts on perfomance upgrades for minimal perfomance gain and thats fine if that floats your boat.
However some people prefer the asthetics coupled with good old Toyota reliability.
Kit cars are about putting your own personal spin on things just like enthusiasts do with theirs.
