LOL. Some people do, they are generally the ones who can remember the odd acronym. As i've explained before ad nauseum, acronyms are part and parcel of everyday life, text talk is most certainly not.

I work for XCS can you tell me what that means?

I'm studying for my ACII's and my friends work in the CMS team. I have colleagues who work in XBS and XIS offices.

Accronyms only work if they are COMMONLY known to EVERY one. You cant simply make every phrase an accronym and expect any one else to understand it.

Well, just thought i would share my experiences with the wonderful microsoft.

1. Ring up for my ups labels - get sent to me next day. Don't work - link is broken in the email.

2. Call them up and tell them as such - they then claim that they will be sending these out in the post. Brilliant - 10 days before xmas. So i have to sit and wait.

3. Week later and nothing in the post - so i call up again and speak to useless phone operator. Who then asks me if i would like them sent in the post. My somewhat blunt response of "send them to me again via email you cretin" results in them being sent again. This time they work.

4. Sit and wait for 10 days - call them up to see what's going on. "Oh it's fixed sir (last monday), just waiting to be sent out".

5. 4 days later i ring up - "when you sending it then?" - They give me a tracking number with UPS. Excellent.

6. Nothing happens on UPS site for 4 days.

7. Ring UPS - they then tell me that microsoft bundle up loads of busted 360s before they dispatch them. So basically if you miss a dispatch date (which i did by one day) you then have to wait for an undisclosed period until they can fill a whole lorry with busted consoles.

In summary I'm really impressed with the setup. Only been waiting the best part of 3 and a half weeks so far.

i remember when my ps2 busted - dude turns up and simply swaps my console for another one. Same day, no fuss, no problems.

Well done microsoft. At least i haven't had to experience the crap connectivity over the past few weeks. A very small consolation.

Oh - and still haven't recieved the labels the claim to have posted.
